The staff were so nice. We arrived at 6am, and they let us into our room straight away. They organised a transfer to our next destination cheaper than pick me and generally they couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Room was spacious and plenty of storage and is literally a 2 min walk from the beach.

Such a calm and beautiful place, the family is lovely and they helped us with recommendations and services, we were going to stay 2 nights but we end up staying for a week and honestly we didn't want to leave, great location, less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, tasty Sri Lankan breakfast, recommended 100% place to stay

Located just a 3‑minute stroll from the serene Nilaveli Beach, this cozy B&B is in a perfect spot for easy beach days and exploring nearby attractions like Pigeon Island National Park and the Kanniya Hot Springs . Our room was spacious – with a private bathroom, balcony overlooking the garden, crisp AC, reliable Wi‑Fi, and great comfort overall . It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . Owner and his family are just adorable family, hospitable, genuinely interested in their guests and their needs! The owner, who is the chef of the embedded small restaurant, prepared for us three meals of a barracuda I've caught. It was the most scrumptious barracuda we've ever eaten in our lives! Sri Lankan breakfast was great, too! Even if it is a small hotel, there was someone their to take care of guests 24/7. We had a couple of very nice conversation and discussions with the owner! Beach is very near! You can see fishermen nets pulled out a couple of times a day. A couple of small shops and a barber are only some 150 - 200 m away, bigger shops and a number of stalls only some 10 minutes walk away.

Review: We had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, reminiscent of a Balinese resort. It was very well-equipped, though a mini-fridge and hand towels would have been a nice addition. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. The rooms are built in a cabin-style structure with high ceilings, creating a cozy yet airy atmosphere. The outdoor restaurant area offers a beautiful panoramic view, with tables and a bar where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The breakfast was truly exquisite, with high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. A special mention to the host, who went above and beyond to help us with everything. On the second morning, he even prepared a gluten-free adaptation of the breakfast so I could fully enjoy the experience. This place is an oasis of peace and tranquility, yet conveniently located near restaurants and a stunning, paradisiacal beach just a 7-8 minute walk away. We highly recommend it for a relaxing and unforgettable stay!

Pleasant Park Holiday Inn was exactly that - pleasant! The room was even better than in the pictures and I was surprised with the cleanliness of it. The staff was very approachable and not obtrusive. The owner was very fun to talk to as he has interesting stories from all over the world. I would gladly recommend this stay!
