The air con worked really well and having a kitchen was an added bonus. It was very private and quiet and the staff were friendly.

We had an excellent stay at Port Douglas Motel. The location is perfect — just a short walk to both Four Mile Beach and Macrossan Street, with shops, cafes, and restaurants all nearby. The room was bright, clean, and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchenette. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of free parking available too. A fantastic, easygoing place to stay if you’re visiting Port Douglas!

The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. Amazing location with the absolutely nicest staff. So many things to borrow - basically everything you need in towels, beach chairs and even bikes!

Featuring a private saltwater lagoon, sandy beaches and an artificial reef with tropical fish, the 28-storey JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is set in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Guests enjoy panoramic hinterland and river views, 5 on-site dining options, and a fitness centre. The Ocean-view room was great and also gives a good view of a parts of the Hinterland. The room and bathroom is nice, bright and spacious. We had a very comfortable stay and slept very well. Room temperature can be controlled well via the touch panel. It was nice to swim in the long pool and dip into the sea-water pool down to 4 meters where we could spot some fish.

Just a few metres from the beach in Hervey Bay, the Allegra Hervey Bay offers luxurious, spacious, self-contained apartments and direct access to the Fraser Island World Heritage Site. You can relax on the beach or take a refreshing dip in the lagoon pool. Alternatively, energise yourself at the fitness centre and follow it up with a sauna session. We enjoyed the pool area and proximity to the beach. We were given a warm welcome and good recommendations for food in the local area.
