We stayed for one night. Had 2 rooms as we were family of five. We loved that the inn is so old and has its own character. The rooms were clean, warm (staying at the end of October), good shower power, comfortable beds. Breakfast had lots of options so even our picky children had something to choose from.

Excellent find. Booked 1 night and extended another 2. If you are looking for a real 15th century pub with its wonky floors, walls and doors, but a bit of modern luxury, this is it. Great location, staff and rooms.

This charming family-run guesthouse has an attractive and tranquil setting in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs, with great access to the region’s major road network.

really friendly as soon as you arrived. we were cycling the King Alfred Way and had a long day in the saddle when we arrived, we were met in the car park, given cleaning and servicing equipment for our bikes and shown a secure garage. as soon as we had done that a pint was poured and we were given our room key, all within 15th a of arrival!! food was great, a fresh pizza that night and a hearty cooked breakfast in the morning. couldn’t have asked for more.

Loved every moment of our stay at Helen Browning. The accomodation had lovely facilities and beautiful decor. The communal area and set up of all the rooms was really well thought out. We loved that it also included both hot and cold air con (very very very rare for the UK). We had such a comfortable nights sleep. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during our stay. The service and hospitality was really excellent. The whole concept of so much of the food and products used within the kitchen coming straight from the surrounding farm was really special as well. It was probably why the food was so excellent and tasty. Everything was fresh and made with love. We have been on a road trip across the UK for over a week now staying in unique little pubs and accomodations each night and Helen Browning was by far our favourite stay! We also thoroughly enjoyed going one of the walks they suggested and visiting the pigs, the scenery was just stunning. We can’t wait to come back for longer.

The breakfast was fantastic and great quality, likewise with the meal we had on 2 separate occasions but I have to say the staff totally made the stay, they were friendly, helpful and actually seemed to enjoy their work

The love and effort from Katie and her family is obvious and much appreciated. Very modern, comfortable and spacious. Even had a ninja in the kitchen. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch! Jacuzzi and shower was amazing! Katie also offers Many different types of health and beauty treatments in her studio at very reasonable prices! Despite being in a village (5mins from Avebury!), we were lucky to have a good pub opposite and a Very good italian restaurant just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend. Enjoy x
