Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Only some rooms include a balcony, tatami floors, and free toiletries. Beautiful ryokan with a private onsen. Perfect location. We had beautiful room with everything we needed and with a beautiful view. The staff was very kind and helpful. I wanted especially thank to the guy that carried our (heavy) suitcases and then called the “car romance” and rescheduled our train. :-) Happy New Year, team !

Location was very convenient and accessible, as I could easily walk from the station and bus stop under 5 minutes even with heavy luggage. Beds in the dorm were comfy and shower facilities were perfect. Probably my favourite part though was the people. Hosts Kimiko San and Suzuki San were very hospitable. They offered suggestions on the itinerary, as well as nearby onsens to try. My favourite part of the trip though was joining an English practice meetup at Picnikko, where I got to meet other Nikko locals. Everyone was very warm and welcoming and I had a lovely time:)

At the time, I was able to talk and share a lot in the warm communal space at the guest house. I was also able to meet other guests while staying. This was a really unique experience.

It was my first time in Kusatsu and I am really happy that I chose the Buna Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I love its modern side while still keeping a very traditional Japanese atmosphere. The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨
