From the moment I stepped inside the hostel I felt welcomed and like home. Ibrahim who is one of the managers was very friendly and treated me and the other guests with utmost respect and warmth. The hostel has a very beautiful rooftop where you can watch the sunset/sunrise and/or just hang out. I did a tour around Siwa with the help of Ibrahim who organised a driver for me. His name is Moazzam, he is very professional at what he is doing and was always making sure I am fine. I also got to sleep a night in the desert thanks to them! It was a really beautiful and unforgettable experience. Location of the hostel could not be better, it is near to everything and so calm and peaceful inside. If you are a person who values authentic experiences and like to be surrounded by history, friendly people and peaceful environment, choose this place!

The host is a kind hearted retired captain who is super welcoming, and makes an amazing breakfast! The garden around the house is beautiful with huge palm trees and different fruit trees. The house itself is tidy, clean and makes you want to explore everything in and around the house. You can walk to the city center in a few minutes.

Beautiful place with private hot spring. You can sit at the fire in the evening, enjoying the guitar. Friendo is a very kind owner. He takes good care after you, preparing fresh breakfast. You also can make tours with him, showing you the beauty of Siwa. I stayed 4 days and Friendo became a real friend, he makes you feeling at home. The Lotus House is a lovingly rebuilt house in traditional style directly below the Shali Fortress. Each room is beautifully decorated with simple furnishings and has its own toilet and bathroom. The rooms and the rest of the house are very clean and when I arrived there were brand new woollen blankets for the beds. Also a young and very loving and playful cat named Lotus lives in the house. The owner Ahmed Maradona is such a kind and caring host. Whatever you want or if you have problems, he solves them immediately and is always ready to help. I stayed in his house for 9 nights and it was my best time in Egypt. I can only recommend anyone travelling to Siwa to stay with him.
