I even didn’t see any staff there,it runs every day automatically,so most interesting things are guests there,if you are lucky enough,you will meet quite a few people from all around world so that you can make friends and chat every night to get any information you like.I met most interesting people there and enjoyed 2 nights talking with them.but it was by chance.

I was initially skeptical about staying at Tsugaike seeing how the "main" resorts Happo-one and Hakuba 47 are quite a distance away. However, Hai Lodge was everything that previous reviewers had said. Tsugaike is a wonderful resort with many different terrains that would satisfy most people. The place was very well-maintained and clean. Josh and Victoria were wonderful hosts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hai Lodge and will definitely stay again next time!

great location, reasonable walking distance to most things you need. great, clean rooms and shared facilities. brekky exactly what you need before heading out to the slopes. staff were welcoming, friendly and super helpful. went out of their way to shuttle us to pick up hire gear (twice), even to dinner once and out to the mountains every morning. their recommendations for restaurants, mountains, hire gear and everything in between were spot on.

The house is located in a peaceful and beautiful setting. We’ve walked around the area nearby, Bohemian Shelter is definitely the most wonderful and cosy place to stay while in Hakuba! The host Gaspard and his dad are both very friendly and helpful with guests’ needs. The dinner they offer is delicious too!

Raymond the owner is the most friendly and helpful guy I’ve ever met on a solo trip. He truly made my stay felt like at home. The guesthouse is very new and well-decorated. All the amenities are well-equipped. I stayed comfortably for 7 nights without any issue at all. The location is perfect. It’s at the centre of echoland, very close to bus stations so it’s great to catch the early buses to the ski resorts. Thanks Raymond for making my ski trip so wonderful! I’ll definitely come back!
