Came as a solo traveler and rooms were really clean. The hostel has a very calm vibe and the roof top cafe is top notch. The staff helped me a lot to navigate the city. Especially Saroj and ganesh had enough knowledge of the activities in the city which helped me for a better stay.

I spent a whole day looking for a suitable hostel in Kathmandu. After comparing 6 hostels, I finally chose Birds Nest. It turned out to be the best choice I made. Best Hostel truly lives up to its name! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff goes above and beyond to help, and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. The location is also great—close to everything but still peaceful at night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kathmandu! The host even offers free luggage storage when I'm hiking for 2 weeks!

Located on the edge of Thamel, it’s close to everything but offers a peaceful escape from Kathmandu's chaos. The hostel has everything you need: a nice bar, high-quality yet reasonably priced restaurant and café, and a travel agency, “Dal Bhat Power,” offering professional service and skilled guides. People say you come to Nepal for the mountains but return for the people, and this couldn’t be truer for Alobar1000. You’ll have to experience it yourself. I only wish more people in the world were as wonderful as Tashi, the owner of this hostel.
