I had the pleasure of staying at this hostel, and it was truly a delightful experience. The atmosphere felt like a home away from home, thanks to the incredibly warm and welcoming host, Sam. His kindness and genuine hospitality made our stay exceptional. The hostel itself exudes freshness, and the beds were remarkably comfortable – a perfect combination for a good night's sleep. Sam's dedication to ensuring our comfort and enjoyment was evident throughout our stay, and I am immensely grateful for the positive impact he had on our overall experience. In summary, I highly recommend this hostel, not just for its clean and cozy ambiance but also for the exceptional host, Sam, who goes above and beyond to make guests feel like family. My sincere thanks to Sam for making our stay truly memorable.

You can't tell how they do it. But from the start, the team of the Rock Samui will give you a relaxing and warm welcome to this little tropical paradise. Build as an tribute to the international series 'the flintstones', the Rock offers everything a traveller needs. Chill out places, a private beach to relax at and moreover a staff team that is interested in offering professional service. One my way back home i even revisited the hotel - it was so great. Therefore i can just say thank you, for your wonderfull teamspirit. May it be the endearing Chaw who has the empathy to share heartwarming laughs with good feelings. Yet also offers smart advice for your trip, professionalism when it comes to questions regarding the hotel and sharp comments - if you let her. The all knowing, almost tour guide niveau Gerome from philippines, who knows everything about the island Kho Samui. May it be the way to the ferry, the bus stations, the time of traffic or locations to eat, enjoy or meet friends. But don't forget about the rest of the team. The kitchen handles your order excellent. There are even fresh croissants every morning. Since i've been to france this year, they can stand the comparisson. Also it is very clean everywhere. Been in other hostels and hotels so far. Still, this one stands out. If you work a lot and want to relax, the Rock is your place to go. Of course bigger or even party beaches are just a shortly away. But who wants to go there, when you can have a private beach with your friends? When we were at holiday, one tourist even fell to the ground unconscious. The team called emergency immedeatly and even visited the unlucky solo traveller afterwards in hospital. In short: They genuinly care for you as a guest. Something, you can't find everywhere in the world.

The place is peaceful and beautiful, the owner super kind and helpful! The area is quite local but has still beautiful beaches and waterfalls. There are also great local restaurants very close. The owner pick us up from the pier for the check in and check out which was a real plus. The free bicycle rental was also very practical to move around. I’d highly recommend to have a break from the touristy and agitated areas of the islands.

The place is nice and quiet with excellent staff helping out with anything and everything. Ended up staying for over a week. Highly recommended.

Everything was so clean and the staff specially Panita the manager great soul alway taking care of guests and providing a lot of touristic information and letting you know local places , close the hostal there are a few good food markets where you can eat really nice and cheap. I highly recommended to stay here.

Amazing place.kind staff. Perfect for relaxing and take time for yourself. Cheap Muay Thai class near the hostel and good restaurant as well. The last but not the least.stunning beach at 2min walk. You can also book a tour for a day in mu ko ang thong national park.

Very clean and the nicest staff and owner ever. Also a nice kitchen and a chill common area, just felt like a little second home especially when staying longer :)

I cannot rate this hostel highly enough! It is simply the BEST in Koh Samui. The staff, Wan & Piak, went above and beyond everyday during our stay, from helping us finding a rental scooter place, to asking how our day was, and overall just being such lovely helpful people, they definitely made our stay feel like home ( the fluffy blankets were a bonus too!!). All of the facilities were cleaned every single day, the rooms smelt amazing, and the location itself was very good! We felt so sad to leave here- we absolutely loved it, and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Koh Samui! ❤️

Clean nice staff good kitchen

This hostel is located in Chawang and easily walks to the mall. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and bar around the area. The staff are nice and friendly, especially Opal. The room and the shower rooms are on point and clean. We are definitely coming back.
