This was a great help and very much appreciated! On check in Michikusa recommended a few points of interest to visit during my stay according to the weather. I managed to tick most of them off which made for a great day exploring the beautiful surrounding nature. The hostel is well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was a pleasure staying there and I would 100% return on my next visit! Thank you!

Feeling Like a Part of Asuke – A Heartwarming Stay Located just a 10-minute walk from Korankei, the hotel offers excellent access, making it an ideal base for exploring the area, especially during the autumn foliage season. The owner’s warm and welcoming personality adds to the charm of this stay. They shared many insights about the history and highlights of Asuke, making me feel as though I had become a part of this beautiful town. I stayed in a single room, which was spacious and comfortable, offering a relaxing experience. The restrooms and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained, and to top it off, there was even an open-air bath. It was the perfect way to unwind and soothe my travel fatigue. This is a place I would love to return to as a base for exploring Asuke.

The hostel is a 30 minute bus ride from Ryotsu Port and is walking distance to a supermarket and the beach.

I really enjoyed our conversations, full of life and funny. The room is very clean, tatami floor and futon. The bathroom may need a bit of renovating but it didn't bother me. Location was great, 5 min to the beach, 12-15 min to the port and about 18 min to the station, but there is a bus stop near by that goes to the station. You can see mt. Fuji on a clear day on the street where the guesthouse is. Very special place, I would like to stay again.

The women's dorm is only four people so nice and small. You have traditional futon mattresses on a mat floor and curtains around your area. The washing machine is free to use, there are free bikes, free tea and coffee. The staff are lovely. I really wanted to come back again but they were fully booked unsurprisingly!
