In 2008 I visited Wazuka in Japan. I worked on a tea farm and stayed in a Japanese guesthouse with tatami's and futons (=Ryokan). In the movie Perfect Days(2023) the simple tatamiroom with a futon plays a role. In 2021 I bought a tatami podium, the futon's are brand new and give the opportunity to experience a night in a Japanese guesthouse. Ryokan is 2,8km from the Japanese garden of Oostende.
In a quiet neighborhood Ryokan offers you a base for excursions at the seaside, or land inward, to for example Bruges.
