Property info

Sachsblick – translated as “View of Views” offers just that! With stunning panoramas from an elevated spot nestled in the rugged hills of Lochgoilhead. Watch the Loch from the huge window in the lounge at the front of the property, or, from the sun room that leads onto an impressive decked area with mature garden. To the rear are breath taking views of the mountains and spectacular landscape. The single storey dwelling is brand new to the holiday letting market and has been renovated to the highest standard. It offers everything you need for a self-catering holiday whilst providing the cosiness and mod cons of a home from home. Fully equipped kitchen with large island, ideal for evening gatherings. Super comfy mattresses and sofas. Huge walk in shower for warming up after a dip in the Loch or a walk to the nearby waterfall. A haven for wildlife The area is rich in wildlife – red squirrel, pine marten, otters, red deer and badgers are common, as well as eagles and buzzards on the hills. The very nature of the area’s sea lochs with their deep basins, shallow sills and sheltered shores make them ideal habitats for a wide variety of wildlife.

Neighborhood info

Lochgoilhead is just over an hours drive from Glasgow and a fantastic base for exploring all that Argyll has to offer. A great village with lots of entertainment and great places to eat and drink, it also has its own jetty/pontoon, perfect for crab fishing with the kids or launching your paddle board or kayak. Wild swimming is very popular with many access points along the shore. Watch for seals, porpoises and whales. Bird watching for guillemots and gannets. Although a coastal settlement, the location of the village at the head of the sea loch, enclosed by steep mountains and forests create a remote and almost isolated character. There are many popular local walks including the 4 km (2.5 mi) Donich Circular and parts of the Cowal Way. At the north end of the Cowal Peninsula is the Argyll Forest Park, which is the UK’s first ever designated forest park (1935). There are many opportunities to explore the Forest Park via the Forest Commission Scotland’s network of trails, starting from Tarbet, Ardgartan, Lochgoilhead, Glenbranter, Ardentinny, Kilmun and many more.. Did you know? Lochgoilhead was used for the filming of scenes for the James Bond classic ‘From Russia with Love’.
