Askja Apartment is a spacious family friendly apartment in the heart of Húsavík with views over Skjálfandi bay and the mountains. The apartment is right in the center of town and it is only a few minutes walk to several restaurants, museums, swimming pool, stores, banks and the harbour, where boats leave for whale watching excursions numerous times per day. The apartment has three bedrooms, a big bathroom with a walk-in shower, spacious living room, kitchen equipped with all essential utensils and big balconies. Free wi-fi is in the apartment and the living room includes a flat-screen TV with several Icelandic and foreign channels. The rooms offer made beds and towels are included in the rate. A hair dryer is in the bathroom. Askja Apartment is a great new addition to the accommodation in Húsavík and is ideal to those who prefer a little more luxury and it is the perfect place for friends and families traveling together that want to enjoy a home away from home.
The town of Húsavík is a very good place for a few nights stop as it is close to all of the natural wonders of Northeastern Iceland. F.ex Goðafoss waterfall, Dettifoss waterfall, Ásbyrgi, Hljóðaklettar, Vesturdalur, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn, Krafla, Akureyri and more. The town itself also has a lot to offer with several restaurants, museums, stores, outdoor swimming pool, golf course, horse back riding, whale watching excursions and a lot more.
