Konosu onsen is a century old traditional Japanese ryokan in the Tohoku style. Original owners hunted, fished and gathered what they needed from the surrounding nature. Guests can experience things from the good old days!

Steve hails from Canada and is a retired English teacher. He enjoys hosting and catering to the needs of his guests 😊

Lots to see in and around Akiu! For sightseeing, visit the Akiu Great Falls, the gorge and Akiu shrine. My favorite museums here are the kaleidoscope museum and Akiu Art-Antique. For coffee, you can try Kukka, Moai 🗿 and Akiu Art-Antique. Those last two recommendations are great to meet the owners and have a chat, but they’re only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
