Just a 5-minute walk from the Happo-One Ski Elevators, the completely nonsmoking Hakuba Yamano Hotel offers a hot-spring bath and ski facilities. It was rated #1 on TripAdvisor 2009 for hotels in Hakuba. Rooms have free WiFi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom with bath. Hakuba Yamano Hotel offers both spacious Western-style rooms and Japanese rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding. All rooms are simply furnished and soundproofed, with an electric kettle and slippers. The hotel is 0.9 mi from Hakuba Bus Station and 1.9 mi from JR Hakuba Train Station. A shuttle runs between the hotel and both stations. On-site parking is free. You can unwind with a massage after a day on the slopes, or enjoy the heat of the sauna.
