Shirokuma Inn is centrally located in the heart of Iwase, next to a park, sake brewery, historic village, and a public beach with a view of the Japanese Alps, just 15 minutes walking distance. The Shirokuma Inn is a Japanese & Canadian family run business, in an old traditional style house with some modern amenities; A/C, WiFi, reserved parking. Your comfort and smiles motivate us.

Neighborhood info

The town of Iwase has many local attractions such as two museums, a sake brewery and also a beer brewery, a pub (sadly closing at 6:00 pm) plus a sake tasting bar (sadly closing at 5:00 pm) . There are also many fine restaurants/cuisines suitable for all palates and budgets. Most of the old town on the main street is from the late 1800's. It was one of the main shipping ports for that era. The local beach, Iwase-hama is a long, beautiful, undeveloped beach. Great for surfing and swimming or do nothing at all., but beware of the birds and your lunch.
