Riversong retreat offers a unique riverside experience in parklike grounds. Retreat, relax, recharge in nature, sleep listening to the beautiful song of the river and native birds. Centrally located in Golden Bay, 2 kms from the Mussel Inn Bush Cafe Brewery hosting regular live music, 3 kms from Onekaka Beach and 12 kms from Takaka township. RiverSong Housetruck (The Gypsy Moth) is an original vintage 1953 Commer with a rustic well travelled charm. It was once a travelling stone carving studio. RiverSong Caravan (The Glow Worm) is a beautifully restored vintage retro caravan. Glow Worms can be seen shining across the river at night from both rooms. Guests have access to a large grass area next to the stream. Enjoy the beautiful Native Bush walk across the river which also leads to a glow worm grotto at night. We follow sustainable principles, the shared kitchen / shower facility is built using timber and stone resources from the land. Well equipped with fridge / freezer, 4 burner gas hob and plenty of cooking equipment. This is located 30 metres from the 2 separate / private accommodation rooms. Herbal tea made from herbs grown on the property. Espresso & french press coffee from local Golden Bay Roasters. Composting toilet next to the vegetable garden, 50 metres from the kitchen / shower area, well lit at night. This self sufficient lifestyle block has large vegetable and herb gardens, chickens and black sheep. Guests are welcome to pick fruit from the plentiful trees when ripe. Lisa is a practicing Medical Herbalist offering Natural Therapies - Iridology, Reflexology, foot and leg massage & Reiki from the lovely therapy room @ Golden Bay Iridology. Geoff is a Stone Carver at JadeCarverNZ.

We are well travelled and love meeting people from around the world. Happy to share our knowledge of this beautiful area and the great places to adventure. Riversong is an organic self sufficient lifestyle block and has been our home for 24 years.

Centrally located in Golden Bay between Abel Tasman National Park and Kahurangi National Park. Situated half way between Takaka and Collingwood, both towns hosting numerous cafes, take aways and restaurants. 2kms past the Golden Bay Lookout. 18 different beaches within 1 hours drive. Including the famous Wharariki Beach 1/2 drive west from here. The famous Mussel Inn Bush Cafe Brewery is just 2kms along the road, with regular entertainment. Onekaka Beach a central point in beautiful Golden Bay is 3km away.
