I build the guest house many, many years ago for this purpose and to live on the beach again. I grew up in Cape Town on the beach and finished schooling in Switzerland where I then lived and worked for many years before returning back to South Africa.
I travelled to almost every European country and lived in many different language areas where I learned about different cultures and languages. I speak 6 languages if you consider Swiss-German a full language or just a dialect.
It is so interesting to meet different people and personalities and as I was introduced to by many now friends and people to learn about the area and life style, I enjoy doing the same when guest arrive to our area and guest house in Wilderness.
I am drawn to nature and love the beauty of it which I am surrounded by. I love the sports which nature offers from swimming, surfing, kite surfing, mountain biking, Beach Volleyball and can keep on going with naming more activities....
When I am not doing sports or not running the guest house, I am either creating something out of wood or metal or painting/creating something I find beautiful or love to do.
A lot of art or style you will find in the guest house and rooms which I would feel comfortable staying in and watching, looking and observing the Indian Ocean with its constant swells and waves.
I love my guest house and love what I am doing in and around the house.

Located on Wilderness Beach, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean, the Dune Beach House provides a rare taste of paradise for your Wilderness holiday. This is the ideal place for you to unwind and relax.
The guesthouse is a refreshingly informal beach house, with direct access to the endless Wilderness Beach, where you can walk for miles. Whales and dolphins can be viewed directly from the seafacing bedrooms, dining room, the beachfront sundecks, as well as the timber deck at the poolside where our private swimming pool sparkles invitingly.
A full English breakfast buffet, with delicious extras, is available for you every morning. Sumptuous breakfasts are served in the casual elegance of the dining room, overlooking the beach and ocean.
Neighbourhood information
The beach is beautiful and long. You can walk more than 16 km on a gorgeous sandy beach. We have everything in the proximity. Beach, ocean, lagoon, indigenous forest, mountains, lakes, wildlife and a calm feel of Wilderness and area. Except the Ocean, that why it is called Wilderness. But there are many areas along the coast which a pleasant and calm to swim. We have always got waves in front of the guest house. Dolphines are pretty much everyday in sight from the guest house and whales during the whale season which is from May - October.
