From the moment I stepped in, I couldn’t stop saying “Wow!”—what an amazing place! Staying in a monastery with incredibly thick walls was a first-time experience for me. We were given a spacious suite with classic and elegant furniture. The wooden doors and windows, along with their vintage opening mechanisms, made me feel like I had traveled back in time while sitting in the cozy armchair. The staff was very friendly. Although the one who welcomed us didn’t speak English, he was kind and patient, using a translator to communicate and even helping us book a fantastic nearby restaurant. Breakfast was great—you choose your meal the day before, and everything is fresh, delicious, and plentiful. The monastery itself has beautiful scenery, perfect for a relaxing morning walk. My only regret is staying just one night—I’ll definitely be back!

A cozy, clean, quiet little hotel that suited our family very well, so we extended our stay. Staff was very friendly. The heated pool is a big bonus, especially for a family with children :)

The hotel was amazing! We had a very good time. The hotel is quiet, has huge relaxing thermal pools, faces beautiful mountains, and the decor is stunning, it can’t get any better! The restaurant also has very good food, and the free breakfast was amazing, everything was fresh and tasty! We liked the hotel being secluded and a perfect size for relaxation. The staff there was all very polite and professional. We spoke with Michele and Claudia a lot in the front desk. They are simply the best! This is the highlight of our entire trip. Stayed in a B&B room just opposite, but still part of the main hotel. Our room was in an old building in the delightful spa settlement of Bagno Vignoni, and the spacious bedroom was attractively furnished, the bed really comfortable and the bed linen of great quality.

Boasting a garden, bar and views of garden, La Colombaia Amiata is situated in Arcidosso, 23 km from Mount Amiata. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.

Hans and Monique are adorable hosts. The house is cosy, quiet and arranged with taste. The garden is spacious, made to enjoy the warm days and cool nights of Tuscany. The breakfasts are delicious, fresh and homemade. Hans and Monique were super welcoming, very accessible and always smiling. We really recommend everyone to live this unique and out of time experience at Colombaia Amiata, that will stay in your memory for years!

Warm welcome on arrival, Giulia and Nicola offered advice about the area and made bookings. Villa was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Pool is amazing. Thank you for the big breakfasts, i wont forget the homemade tarts - daily! It was a peaceful, comfortable stay, in a stunning villa. We felt very spoilt.
