The hotel was beautiful, with amazing views across Lake Garda. You really couldn't wish for a better location in terms of the surroundings. But what made the stay extra special for us were the staff. Without question the best service I have received anywhere I have visited. Too often, I have stayed at hotels where the staff are too formal, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. Here, the staff are super-professional and efficient, but also relaxed, easy going, and really keen to talk to guests. We got to know some of the staff members over the 4 days we were there, and more than anything, they left the biggest impression. Thank you to all of you for making our stay so exceptional. I hope you are all there when we return again in the future. In terms of facilities, the hotel has covered everything. Decent gym, great spa and relaxation area, 2 excellent pools and a nice bar area with a terrace that looks out over the lake. Wow! The rooms are really lovely, ultra-clean, modern and very comfortable. We made good use of the electric bicycle hire and spent a lot of time exploring the area. Torri Del Benaco isn't far away. It's a fun, downhill bike ride, or a walk, which didn't take us long. The hotel can arrange taxis etc if needed, but we chose to find our own way. We visited a few of the local towns and villages in the area and we found Torri to be the nicest. It was slightly quieter than the other places we visited, and with lots of great restaurants and cafes. Everywhere was incredibly clean and well-kept, which we are not used to living in the UK! We ate in the hotel's restaurant on the first night, and although the food was excellent, there wasn't very much of it. We left feeling quite hungry. As the main target market is likely to be Italian, German and British, it is worth knowing that all 3 of these nations love their food! Tiny portions might look pretty on the plate, but they aren't very satisfying to eat.

The place is brand new. The rooms are big and spotless. The swimming pool is very big and clean. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The location is perfect to walk to the old part of the town - on the lakeshore - were you can find all the restaurants and the beach. Superb breakfast. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hotel Galvani! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professionalism. Lovely lakeside view, cute garden, spacious rooms. The host was so sweet, they even left us a few snacks for breakfast and all we needed to make tea. The house is gorgeous, oozes the charm of old Italian villas, the interior is elegant, and huge windows give you a great view of the lake from the common room, where you can sit on comfy sofas and mingle. Everything was perfectly clean. There's a shop nearby (10 minutes walk by the lake), and there's restaurants serving excellent pizza and tiramisu only a little bit further.

This is a great location, close to the lake but not too close! Mauro was a very helpful host when we were concerned that future rail journeys would be disrupted by a strike. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the view from our room splendid.
