I cannot recommend this place enough . Pictures don’t do justice . The scenery is absolutely breathtaking ,there is an outdoor pool which is heated and also a jacuzzi , which can be used during the colder months . It was very clean , excellent amenities, the bed very comfortable and the staff very nice . Lana was very helpful and friendly.

Vinhas do Calhau is a recently renovated aparthotel in Madalena, where guests can makes the most of its infinity pool, garden and terrace. The property has sea and mountain views.

If you hapoen to arrive to a remote island as Pico here is #1 essential for you: Ana, the actual manager of this property, a stranger-sister whom you did not know you have, who just gets you. Apart from a very nice high end property, Ana took care of me, and my expectations from this vacation. She know everything in the Island by heart. She is generous, kind and smiley! I stayed extra 6 nights because of her welcoming approach!

It was one of the most unique and original places we stayed in Azores. The house was big with the kitchen that had everything you need and even a washing machine with detergent! I especially liked to see that they have a green key award:)

The house was really nice and the owners very kind. The offer the possibility to check out later as they did not have new guests The house was equipped with everything you need. It was quiet and also nice to have the sea just in front.

Helen is a great host! She was extremely helpful before and during my visit with helping to arrange taxi service, where to eat, what to see and taking care of a small repair that needed to be done to the desk in the room. VERY GOOD breakfast.
