Miyajima
The ryokan will provide guests with air-conditioned units offering a wardrobe, a coffee machine, a fridge, a minibar, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV, a balcony and a private bathroom with a hot tub. At the ryokan, all units are allergy-free and soundproof. At the ryokan, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.
Miyajima
Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Villa Hamorebi is situated in Miyajima. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests have access to a hot tub and open-air bath. The house was huge and had beautiful decor. Each area of the house had controlled heating and ac. Fully stocked free bar with nice treats. The hot was fantastic. Great, convenient quiet location.
Miyajima
Full house Miyajima features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 19 km of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 20 km of Atomic Bomb Dome. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The homestay has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Feel so lucky to find such an excellent guesthouse in Miyajimaguchi! The location is great, within easy walking distance of Miyajima ferry terminal. The owners, Yo and Ellen, were incredibly hospitable and hard-working, doing more than expected to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible and catering to all requests. They both spoke English well (especially Ellen who was fully fluent), perfect for a traveller like me with limited Japanese communication capabilities. If you are staying here to visit Itsukushima Island, I highly recommend conferring with Yo first prior to your journey for sightseeing and activity advice. The locations and paths he suggested made my experience much more splendid than it would've been if I planned it myself. Overall a 10/10 experience and the best accomodation I've stayed at so far in Japan. Perfect groups of guests of any size as well as solo travellers. Hope to be able to visit again!

The opportunity to get a private bath The spacious room Dinner and breakfast were very good Help from staff to choose a hike
We feel lucky we found an affordable hotel in Miyajima. We were right by the center so we could stop by any time. The hosts were very friendly and we felt welcomed. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space. The bathroom was quite small but clean, so this was not a problem for us. They offered recommendations for nearby restaurants and provided a guide of the island which was very helpful.
The room was very spacious. It had a "big" balcony with a table and chairs outside. The bathroom had hot water and a nice view. The room itself was also very nice, with a TV, Bluetooth speaker, and instant drip coffee ♥️. In general, there was nothing to complain about, except for the almost non-functioning air conditioning (very, very low fan) and a loud fan located in the ceiling, which was very loud. I couldn't find a way to turn down the ceiling fan.
Incredible location and views of the mountains and famous floatong torri gate. Short walk from the ferry pier. Spacious room with comfortable traditional Japanese bedding Friendly staff who were happy to assist with luggage storage Breakfast option available, very handy because nothing really opens until 9am on island. The public bath was nice and relaxing after a big day of hiking and sightseeing
Loved the private onsen with the view of the shrine. The hotel was very grand and our room with the view was so spacious and pretty. The restaurant staff were lovely. and the food delicious although mostly seafood which i didnt mind.. The shuttle to the town was handy also.We has tea and red bean snack in our room (provided) which was nice. Relaxing stay in a grand hotel.
A nice guest house with an open kitchen and lobby. The tatami room even had a small balcony to relax after a long exploring day on Miyajima. Just be aware, that the futon beds can be quite hard to sleep on. But luckily i had some spare futons to stack over each other 😄. I would stay here again and definately recommend to stay on the island over night.
The hotel lays on a perfect distance from the ferry, but in the nicer quieter area. We had a spacious room with a view on the sea and pier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast very much. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The public bath (onsen) is also available. Everything is there. They make your bed during your dinner.
Away from the crowds - definitely one of the best hotels of our stay in Japan. The room was spacious and very well equipped. All you need after a great day outside Miayajima is your yukata, your basket full of bath products to chill and relax in the onsen. Amazing japanese breakfast awaits you downstairs in the morning. Bonus : prepare yourself, the onsen is unbelievable!
Japanese room was very spacious, comfy and beautifully decorated. You can try the traditional bathtub, yukata and toiletries are provided. Definitely try the exceptional, multi-course Japanese breakfast. Overall, very comfy and romantic, a real treat! Also close to the Miyajima shrine.
The room was spacious! We had tea and a sweet snack after check in. Reserved a private bath for 30 mins for free (it was a short time but they had a separate public bath) and was very relaxing. The Japanese breakfast was also delicious.
