Everyone was so welcoming, and treated us like royalty from The owner, Abdel the Manger, Mohammad the young cheff, Ali the server and all the other staff not mentioned. We were sad to leave them, and we will definitely return. The breakfast was excellent. We gad a fantastic view of the Nile and Luxor Temple. I highly recommend the hotel.

I visited 30 years ago, then the locals just dropped rubbish everywhere, this seems to have stopped. Leave plenty of time if you want to walk the Avenue of the Sphinx, some information boards helped you undertand what you were looking at, restoration work is ongoing, walk around the sides first and enter from the back, in a courtyard, you can see where the Romans plastered over the wall art and put there own.

Interesting but quite difficult to understand because of a lack of knowledge of Egyptyan history. Even if you have a guide it is difficult to remember what it is you have seen. There is very little effort in trying to make it an educational experience which you can remember.

Luxor temple is a must visit.

Luxor temple is a must visit. It's the biggest one and is absolutely fascinating. Even though we started quite early in the morning, there were already groups, however we still managed to get some nice photos without the crowds. I'd recommend to visit with a tour guide to understand what are you looking at.

The Egyptian people are charming and kind but be warned they will take advantage of you regarding your money and tend to be aggressive in Luxor. As a solo traveler do not go to Luxor Temple alone at night. In order to walk the avenue you must pay an entrance fee to Luxor and Karnak. I wanted to walk from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of the Sphinx but there was an event happening at Luxor Temple and hours where shortened.

The rooms have everything you need - simple but good! The breakfast was black tea and bread with eggs and cheese. The hotel is close to the railwaystation and in walkable distance to luxor temple and luxor museum. You also have many shops close by. The trips that the hotel staff organised for us (west bank and also balloon ride) were great and also not too pricey. I can recommend both!

The price and quality relation is very good. The apartment is spacious, but cozy. It's in a small street but close to bigger street with supermarkets etc, also close to Luxor temple. The host is very helpful, willing to organise transport to and from the apartment, and available for communication.

Firstly, the staff are very nice, especially the reception and bar/restaurant/pool staff and they make it worthy of the rating. The location is very convenient for Luxor centre with the souk and Luxor Temple within easy walking distance with many restaurants, cafes, shops close by. The hotel has constant hot water for showering, the room has a kettle, fridge and TV but only Arabic programming. The pool was small but nice and at breakfast they cook fresh omelette The air conditioning was welcome and worked well.

We stayed here for one night and loved it. The apartment is perfectly located right in the center of Luxor, just a 5-minute walk from Luxor Temple. The host, his sister, and their assistant were all incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well equipped — even with a washing machine, which was a great surprise! The surrounding area is lively but safe, with many nice shops and very friendly locals. No one tried to scam us, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

The staff very helpful. Very nice breakfast. Nice clean swimming pool. Very good food. The bar was very nice with local spirits and beer. The real lod Egiptcian atmosphere foamed in the bar..very good location for the highlights of Luxor temples.and the city. Only just 5 minutes.away. Although we checked out at 12.00 o'clock, we were given opportunity to stay in the hotel till our bus leaves at 20.00 without any extra charge.

I had a perfect stay at Mahmoud apartment. The place has one of the nicest terraces I've seen in Egypt, with a beautiful view over the Nile and Luxor Temple as well as the mountains. The apartment is completely isolated and private and at the same time you are at a five minutes walking distance from the ferry departure. It had an excellent working shower, hot water, a bath, a small kitchen and air conditioning working perfectly well.

Fabulous hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning done everyday. Hanny in the restaurant even printed off some helpful Egyptian words for us and helped with the pronunciation. Fantastic location overlooking the avenue of the sphinxes and Luxor temple and a 10 minute walk to the local ferry to get to the west bank. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have stayed in 8 hotels in Egypt and this is by far the best one. Nice location, just 6 minutes by car from train station or Luxor temple. Great owner, very welcoming and polite. Nice pool. Good price, great value. Big, clean room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in East Bank who is looking for a nice an affordable place to stay.
