The hotel itself is beautiful, there's a lot of greenery around you, so when you enjoy breakfast you feel like you look at a tiny jungle. The spa is just amazing, I treated myself to the royal Ritual and it was just pure bliss! Thank you Budi for taking excellent care of me and thanks to Ayu for my beautiful nails. The staff was always impeccable, there were no wishes left unfulfilled

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Ubud Centre, within short walking distance to yoga barn, street markets, many warungs as well as more upmarket restaurants. The hotel itself adds to the charm of the beautiful Ubud, with the design blending the street life overlooked by the restaurant with the interior luxury to perfection. Not enough words to describe the wonderful staff in the hotel at the reception, restaurant and even in the parking lot. We highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Kastara Resort was absolutely fantastic—truly a memorable experience from start to finish. Although we didn’t have the chance to try the spa (we were always out exploring!), we are confident it would have been amazing based on the quality of everything else. The service was exceptional—every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Their hospitality made us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the suites with an outdoor hot tub, and it was absolutely incredible. Soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the stunning views of the jungle was like a dream come true. The infinity pool was equally breathtaking—a perfect spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. The cleanliness of the resort was unmatched; everything was spotless, and we’ve honestly never experienced such meticulous attention to detail in a property. The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal we had at the resort was excellent, and we loved that we didn’t need to go anywhere else to enjoy high-quality dining. The live music in the evenings added such a lovely atmosphere to our dining experiences. It’s rare to find a place where everything exceeds expectations, but Kastara Resort truly deserves its 5-star rating and more. In terms of location, it couldn’t have been better. The resort is a peaceful haven away from the chaotic center of Ubud, yet still close enough to explore. It’s about a 35-minute walk to the center, which was perfect for us as we could avoid the traffic while enjoying the serenity of the surrounding jungle. It also served as the perfect base for exploring Ubud and its beautiful surroundings. Without a doubt, Kastara Resort is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. If you’re visiting Ubud, this is the place to go—you won’t regret it. We’re already dreaming of coming back someday! Francesca, Vincenzo and baby Elia from Italy!

Do not go to this creepy perverted place.

Do not go to this creepy perverted place. I felt horrible for having contributed financially to a place or such horror. He was clearly a predator who came to Bali to take advantage of young impoverished women who may find him in the regard he longed to be held in - or at least feigned to. The art was terrible. Maybe at times it was ordinary. But he clearly obsessed over painting portraits of adolescent Indonesian women - naked or topless - long after he'd married a beautiful Indonesian woman 20 years his junior. On the website today he still jokes about groping the buttocks of an 18 year old as though it's all in good humour. I'm glad he's dead - this kind of narcissistic misogony has no place in today's world.
