Location is great - 10 min from Rome Terminal. In the centre of all the key historic sites, with great security and an old world style lift! Modern rooms with great functional design and a window - ours facing inside the building and overlooking other residents sharing the block which felt intimate. (There are rooms facing outside - which would be lovely) Great breakfast spread, amazing filtered water machine available 24/7, coffee/tea making machine also 24/7 that churns out pretty good espresso! After soaking in the historic atmosphere each day in Rome, it’s nice to come back to a modern, simple and non-rococo room to just rest your eyes! Highly recommend and would love to return soon.

I would like to share a review about this wonderful hotel. I was happy that I chose it. We arrived a little earlier than the scheduled time. Instead of the standard check-in, a charming girl, Rita, invited us to a cozy corner by the bar, treated us to delicious Prosecco with cookies, and casually told us about the hotel’s services, as well as providing useful information for tourists. After that, she gave us a tour of the hotel. The hotel has 5 floors. A full renovation was done at the beginning of 2024 (I might be wrong). Although the hotel is small, it has an elevator. It is located on a quiet street and is about a 15-20 minute walk from all the main attractions, except the Vatican. We were possibly lucky, as we were given a room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of one of the churches. The room was small but in excellent condition. Cleaning was done daily, even though we never left the appropriate sign. The maids always cleaned while we were out and did so thoroughly. Next to our room, there was access to a terrace with a great view. There is also a terrace on the 1st floor. What impressed us the most was breakfast. There were no meat dishes, but there were always eggs, cheeses, fish, dairy products, plenty of greens, and various sweets, even though we came near the end of breakfast — around 10:00. The late breakfast was hearty and kept us going almost until evening. We had no issues with the reception, water, cleaning, or breakfasts. The entire staff is always friendly and smiling, even at night. This review may seem sponsored, but believe it's not. Perhaps my expectations were low, as the price for a standard double room was lower than many other options with higher hotel ratings. I hope the level of service doesn’t drop, and if I return to Rome, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Hotel Viminale, thank you for a wonderful stay!

The location is verry good, right in the center of Rome at a walking distance of Colloseum and Traian's Column. Many restaurants and shops are verry close to the hotel. The hotel is small and have nice, big and clean rooms with amaizing view to the Forum and main street.

If you can't face the crowds at St Peter's this is a fabulous alternative. Beautiful artwork, statues and separate alters and all with very few visitors. An added bonus are the massive ancient doors which are over 2000 years old. If you would enjoy experiencing the same doors Julius Caesar walked through, then these are the doors for you. A beautiful, awe inspiring church.
