Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the national park entrance and the Lookout Cafe, which is outside the park and which does not require payment of the daily park fee. The hotel’s grounds are beautiful, with trees flowering in late October. The pool is small, but good for a cooling dip in hot weather. Cape buffalo were grazing right outside our room in the middle of the night.

This hotel is amazing. We had a suite overlooking the waterhole. This simply makes the whole experience of feeling you are in Africa. We saw an elephant, buffalo, impala, warthogs and kudu just sitting on our balcony. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom spacious with a large shower with powerful water pressure. Comfy sofas and chair downstairs. Bar fridge with beer, wine and soft drinks refilled daily. The staff here are outstanding. Helpful smiling faces wherever you go. Restaurant and bar service staff were very attentive and always available. Breakfast was plentiful and great standard. We loved the Buffalo bar for drinks and dinner, watching the sunset. Pool deck is great, overlooking the waterhole. Nice pool and great for cooling off. We travel a lot and this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in around the world. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is brand new, very nice (even more than the photos), the staff is profesional, fast to respond and always happy to help. Special Thanks to Naomi who made lots of efforts to help me in the check in process while I had a problem with the payment. The food at the hotel is very good, and the prices are good as well. Everything was great and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel.

Victoria Falls is beautiful, suggest to see both sides since there's a contrast BUT travel advice: Do not rely on Zambian ATMs. The bank fees are extremely high. (Fees were 40% on my Dutch card! Absolutely, outrageous!)

Beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. Friendly staff as well as a very good breakfast. Clean pool and a relaxing pool area. Saturday and Friday nights we had a great time at the in house club where we enjoyed good music and drinks. The hotel is also not far from Victoria Falls.

Nice place to stay for exploring all that the Victoria Falls area has to offer. Food on-site is really solid. Prices are a bit high but to be expected at a hotel on the river. Overall it's a nice spot ranging from cheap tents to more expensive rooms overlooking the river. I have stayed a few times, really friendly staff, would definitely recommend.

Caroline, Kenny and all of the staff were so helpful! All of our needs were meant! They really did a great job of helping us out with our excursions and suggesting the sunset cruise, which was amazing on the African Queen! The swimming pool was so refreshing after a day at Victoria Falls! The rooms were very clean and comfortable!

Avani is the most spectacular lodge in Zambia/Victoria Falls ..there are wild zebra and giraffes that roam the property and drink out of the pool ..they have so many activities to offer the guest ..you can book one day safari’s from the hotel and a rhino walk with the anti poaching unit ..incredible friendly staff very helpful ..best breakfast buffet in Zambia
