I loved everything!!! The bed was incredibly comfortable with top quality linens, the location was peaceful and you were immersed in the cloud forest, the food was five star and the service amazing and friendly. What an amazing place! I spent a lot of time on the grounds, as I was recovering from a cold when I first arrived and needed to rest and recover, and this was the most perfect place to do that. I loved the little walking trail, and there were always cute birds to see from the main lodge area. We had a lot of wind and rain when I was there, which was very fun and added to the cozy cabin-like experience. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and I loved the high-ceilinged shower with nice toiletries. As a solo traveler who did not plan many activities in advance, the front desk staff were super helpful and patient with all my questions. They booked so many tours for me (ziplining, night tour, and shuttle to Santa Elena) that all picked me up straight from the hotel. Eva also told me about the Monteverde En Casa app so that I could get food delivery! There are some restaurants close by, but that was a lifesaver on those cold and rainy nights when I just didn't want to leave my cozy room.
