The hosts! They were so so so so so good. I loved staying here, like heaps. The hosts taught me so much about the area, and how special it is. Extremely pleasant and friendly staff: they welcomed us with free coffee and cocktails, prepared our meals, and fulfilled all our requests, helping us with any issues we had. For just 400k IDR (per person), they provided us with a tour to Gunung-Batur (including round-trip transportation, an amazing guide named Suli (who deserves our immense gratitude), and an additional breakfast at the top with the best hot chocolate I've ever had).

With the bright bamboo cabins and the private hot spring pools, this is a magical place. We were also really happy when we read on booking, that they have a shared kitchen - that was our main reason to book there. As vegetarians, after 4 weeks in Bali, we were craving homecooked vegetables! It was so great to cook for ourselves, and the kitchen has all you need. The cabins are pretty basic, so if you're looking for luxury, this isn't your place to be. But it holds another sort of luxury: Lying under the stars in warm water is just fantastic.

The view was amazing, the staff was amazing. People said there were too many flies. There are more flies back home in Australia so that didn’t bother me. They have an enclosed restaurant to eat in of the flies bother you. Watching the sunrise from the heated tub or from the swinging chair was magical.

Nestled deep in the jungle, this place offers a truly calm and relaxing escape. Despite being surrounded by nature, the room was impeccably clean—honestly even better than some 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was very cozy, and the atmosphere made it easy to unwind completely. What truly set our stay apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. When my husband’s drone accidentally fell on the roof of another villa, the manager, Dede, personally climbed up to retrieve it. The food was also good, and we enjoyed chatting with Alex, a sweet and engaging young man who made us feel even more welcome. We stayed in a Jungle Cabin for 4 nights, and from the moment we checked in and were greeted with “Welcome home,” it genuinely felt like home. Leaving was hard — when your hearts truly didn’t want to say goodbye.
