FranceThis is a traditional ryokan and therefore it’s important to assess it on its own terms. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it is a lovely place to stay. The staff were wonderful, our room was huge and comfortable, the onsen was beautiful and the food was outstanding. I loved the traditional yukata and samue they provided, and the beauty products in the onsen were great. The location is very good- an agricultural town with fields surrounded by mountains- but it is next to a road so it’s not the most scenic. That said, it is very close to an amazing shrine that is one of the most beautiful holy places I have ever experienced.

We came late by train and they immediately offered to pick us up. The hotel is beautiful and has a nice onsen. Our best breakfast in Japan, very traditional. In the morning, they brought us to the bus stop by shuttle.

Had an amazing stay. The staff were all exceptional and welcoming. The traditional japanese breakfast and dinner were the best we had in japan. The Onsen was beautiful.

We loved the dinner served, the wonderful onsen, and the serene location very close to the bus station for the Kmagatake Ropeway. The service was impeccable as well.
