A big thank you to the whole family for their warm welcome: to Artyom’s father, who drove us up in his 4x4, giving us an amazing experience on those winding roads, always with good humor and a smile; and to Artyom and his wife for the delicious dinner and the wonderful visit to Smbataberd. Very friendly and very generous host. I really had a feeling that somebody takes care of me. The rooms are nice, the common bathroom and the kitchen are spacious and equipped with everything one might need. The place is close to the trailhead to the monastery / castle.

In general, perfectly designed. In my bathroom there was a wall with stones that were covered with green plant (moss?) which looked extremely fresh and made it feel even more close to nature (oops, didn’t take a pic). Breakfast and dinner were amazing, all fresh and tasty. If you go to Yeghegis specifically for animal watching and birdwatching, ask the host to give the tips and maybe even help early morning 6am - they are all in the big rock in front of the hotel area. Was great for my guests - they complained that we didn’t stay there for more nights 😅

Yura and his wife are amazing hosts. The place was very clean and warm, which is very good in the colder months. Yura also took us around to see some great sites around the area and also dropped us and picked us up after completing a hike about 30 minutes away. We also had meals prepared for us by his wife and they were absolutely delicious! We loved our stay!

Quiet large room. Very friendly host Samvel met us. He cooked a great breakfast every morning. Upon arrival, the host treated us to a welcome drink and fruit. Samvel gave us many useful tips for continuing our journey. We stayed here for two days. Highly recommended!
