Everything was great! It's the perfect place if you're looking for some relaxation and peaceful days. The hostel is located immediately at the sea. You can sit on the patio and enjoy the view and calming waves of the ocean. Both, the guesthouse and the café are beautiful and the owners are wonderfully kind and welcoming. There is also a kitchen which can be used by the guests.

MASCOS Hotel Masuda Onsen is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the whole hotel feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The onsen is fantastic, relaxing, well-maintained, and especially impressive because they allow tattoos, which is rare and very forward-thinking in Japan. The rooms are quite small, but very comfortable. Also, since it's the cheapest place in Masuda, it's the best place to stay if you're on a budget. The complimentary breakfast is great and the staff is wonderful. I accidentally overslept past the check-out time and the staff were very kind about it. Even though the bathrooms are shared, they are very clean and well-kept. There is also a bowling alley, karaoke, and a movie theater in the same building. Only about a 10 minute walk from Masuda Station. I highly recommend staying here.
