+the place was clean +there was a washing machine and detergent +shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste were available +has a kettle, microwave, fridge and you could use a cooking pan if you pay ¥500 for the gas. Also a TV! +there was a balcony +friendly staff -sometimes hot water would not come out of the shower even if you waited a long time -the bed was a bit uncomfortable -kinda far from the centre, but there is a bus stop right next to it and also a Lawson across the street

We stayed a couple of nights here in Oct 24. This is a charming Japanese home located in a quiet neighbourhood. The home is relatively large, with a mixture of tatami and western rooms. Max capacity is 12 but in my opinion, 6 will be just nice. Kitchen is fully equipped. I managed to cook a decent dinner and breakfast here. Washing machine is available. Most importantly, in my opinion, this place is kept neat and clean. Makes it a great staying experience for those who wants an experience in staying in a Japanese home. Food, old moat, river boat ride and Hachimanyama is just a short walk away. If you drive and is planning to cook or buying ready-made meals, I recommend shopping at Lamu supermarket. Price is very competitive there. I fully recommend staying in this place if you visit Omihachiman. 😊

It's the perfect Japanese traditional kominka 古民家 house ; two tatami-spaces (separated by sliding doors) that can fit 2-3 people on futons on the first floor, and two more spaces on the second - with a sofa. You can go around the rooms on the first floor through an 'engawa' (walkway) so you can go to the toilet/showers (connected to the kitchen) without disturbing those sleeping on the first floor. The kitchen is well-equipped, even with a coffee bean grinder for those coffee lovers. You can park a car in the front ; it's a space that can fit even our 7-seater Nissan Serena! There's also air conditioning in almost every space, so it's good even in chilly spring. They provide free bicycles and sup/paddles too.

We booked the entire place and it was so lovely. The hosts have thought of everything- there was even toys for the kids. Beautiful and warm in winter and very spacious. Kitchen has everything you might need and the washing machine and dryer were a bonus. Accommodation was also very clean.
