I had an amazing stay at the Rate Colosseum Hotel in Ksamil, Albania! The hotel combines modern luxury with stunning design. My room was spacious and spotless. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, and the location is perfect, close to beautiful beaches and historical sites. Highly recommend for a memorable stay in Ksamil!

The hotel was very accommodating with delayed transportation and changed our booking with no cost. Elgis was knowledgeable and provided brilliant recommendations on the local area. He was very friendly and approachable, making our stay enjoyable. We had a wonderful breakfast and a lovely, spacious room. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ksamil.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Parid in Ksamil! The hotel is beautiful , everything feels brand new and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and fresh. The location is perfect for exploring Ksamil and its gorgeous beaches. The staff were just lovely, so friendly, warm, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place

Newly renovated hotel with private, underground parking and comfortable rooms. The room was spacious, had a comfortable bed and strong, powerful shower. The room had a beautiful view of the bay, it was a great spot to watch the sunset. There was eggs, sausages, local savoury pastries and pancakes served at the breakfast buffet. Also some vegetables like lettuce, tomato, cucumber and slices of apples. We also got our laundry done at the hotel. The owner spoke great English was friendly and was making sure we were enjoying our stay.

Wow, what a stay! The apartments are in a FABULOUS location directly next to a beautiful beach with an absolutely stunning sunset. Super close to lots of restaurants and beach clubs too. The balcony was so pretty with the grape vines and the tree, it felt magical, like we were in a tree house! We were a small family of four with two adults, 1 child and a baby and the size of the apartment was perfect for a short stay. We would absolutely come back again, we loved it. Stela who met us to hand over the keys was so lovely - thanks so much Stela!

a beautiful hotel, where we were welcomed very warmly. Very polite staff. Very comfortable room, beautiful and very clean, and with a wonderful view of the sea. We loved this hotel! The location couldn’t have been more perfect with tons of restaurants, entertainment, shopping and beaches within steps from the from door of the hotel. The room itself was spacious, clean, beautiful and had air conditioning. The rooftop pool was stunning as well!

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of...

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.

The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean.

The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean. Renting sunbeds/umbrellas can be quite pricy. If you go in the afternoon they would charge you the same price on some beaches. Driving in Ksamil can be quite hectic. The streets are quite narrow and not all the streets have pavements and on streets where they are present either they are taken up by shops or else the people do not use the land walk in the middle of the road. Be careful if you are driving there especially during rush hour and parking is not easy. The restaurants are really good. We tried a lot of them and the food is delicious and most of them have very reasonable prices. We were always treated nicely from the staff.
