I have visited Sydney various times over the decades, and I never get tired of it. There are a variety of things to do, places to visit, and history to explore. The Art Gallery of NSW is always worth a visit, great permanent collection as well as fabulous special exhibitions such as "Dangerously Modern" - on currently. The Rocks is fascinating. Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden is great, as is the view of Lavender Bay from there. I completed a "SheShapesHistory" walking tour - excellent. I completed a Rocks walking tour another time, and these are great ways to spend time with some like-minded or other curious people when travelling alone. Train, ferry and bus easy to use.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 6.0
There's no parking!! Streets are packed with cars.
There's no parking!! Streets are packed with cars. Pedestrian crossings every few metres - ridiculous!! Plus they hold up traffic. We didn't know about Nelson Bay and surrounding areas - next time we'll stay there instead of in the heart of Newcastle.Guest review byMeagan - 8.0
We did not have much time in Coffs Harbour. Only one night.
We did not have much time in Coffs Harbour. Only one night. We have driven through Coffs Harbour numerous times and have only stayed there once before this stay, which was in 1991 at Opal Cove when our children were young. We were pleasantly surprised with the location of our stay at Ocean Park Apartments this time.Guest review byPaulineAustralia - 8.0
Great little coastal town.
Great little coastal town. Watch out for the windy weather - can make the beach a bit of a no go. Good nightly entertainment options. Including buskers. Great options and quality of food. Superb scenery. Not cheap. Road into/ out of town constantly very busy - don't stay on that if you can help it.Guest review byCampbellAustralia - 8.0
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach.
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach. We saw three pods of whales with 9 whales in total. Admittedly, although we could see them from the beach, we needed binoculars to get a better look. Make sure you visit Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk, and take your time to listen and soak up the amazing atmosphere.Guest review bySteveAustralia - 10

Country location with a city feel.
Country location with a city feel. Great cafes and restaurants in both Albury and Wodonga. High end shopping centre. Short drive to wineries and and tourist towns like Beechworth, Bright and Yarrawonga. When ever I am in Albury I always stock up on great produce at Harris’s Farm Markets. Take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 10

We made our trip from Marrickville in Sydney and were very struck by the contrast in how lovely and personable the people are in Wagga. That alone was a very stark and welcome contrast that I would encourage anyone to experience and embrace. It's a city that has everything you need and offers it as a thing of humble quality, free of the frivolity, hype and nonsense back in the coastal cities. The city council very clearly takes it's obligations to the people as seriously as they should, because everywhere we went the place was very well serviced and maintained. I feel it's worth noting the huge sporting focus of the city that is apparent by the abundance of excellent sporting facilities in the region, because it speaks volumes about the people. They come together from a young age and strive together, supporting one another, cheering for one another in healthy competition with one another. It's entirely unsurprising that so many Australian sporting champions and legends have come from Wagga. In summary, if my wife wasn't a dyed in the wool city person, I would straight up move to Wagga and raise our young children there. It's a beautiful place that hasn't lost touch with what's important in life.Guest review byHughes - 6.0
Not a bad spot. Really enjoyed the World Triathlon event.
Not a bad spot. Really enjoyed the World Triathlon event. The restaurants were great, beaches were good. A few lovely beach pools to lap swim in. As with all big towns they have their fair share of yobs in loud cars trying to get noticed. Saw a bunch of young men ripping out a street sign as we rode back to our accommodation one night and filming themselves. There is an epidemic of electric motorbikes on the bike paths. They don't seem to realise others use the paths and are just dangerous. This is a real shame as the paths are well used by bicycle riders, joggers and walkers and are a fantastic resource. If you like the outdoors Wollongong would be worth a visit. Just be wary on the bike paths.Guest review byDuncanAustralia - 8.0

We were in town for market day on the main street and came across The Atrium Café in the Atrium Arcade. What a find! The food and coffee were the best we’ve had in ages. The staff were really friendly and even suggested a few good places to check out while we were visiting. Such great hospitality — we’ll definitely be back.Guest review byMichael VisserAustralia
