A small hotel run by the owner who took care of all. Of course Swiss hospitality is superb. The breakfast was more than plenty with surrounding that I felt like eating at home. The hotel was near the train station but no noise disturbed me at all during those 7-night stay.

We had the reservation for Hecht hotel, but we got lucky, and they moved us to their 4 star partner hotel ,Romantik hotel santis. The hotel was beautiful, cozy, clean and comfortable. A small corner was dedicated to toys for kids to play. My 5 y/o daughter enjoyed it very much. Breakfast had a lot of options and served in an impressive salon. Feel really good about it. Definitely recommend it.

Our cozy hotel is located in the car-free zone in the center of Appenzell in eastern Switzerland.

Charming hotel, perfectly located right in the centre of Appenzell. Beautifully decorated room, large, with comfortable bed. Staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended
