Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking? Forget it. A garage shared by the entire old building with spaces too small for any modern car. The front desk person has to walk ahead of you and point out the space you must park in - disgusting. That is my only way to describe this hotel from hell.

This is a really good budget hotel, perfect if you are passing through. The location isn't the most scenic, being as the hotel shares it's exterior with a BP garage and the whole area is quite industrial with more garages and lorries parked up. This doesn't matter if your travelling coast to coast and just want a decent stopover. The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are spacious with tv,, wi-fi and a shower bath combo. The hotel has a restaurant/cafeteria/bar combo which means you don't have to go out and search for something to eat, It also has a small shop, And I was able to park right outside, despite their website saying they didn't have any parking.

On previous visits to Lerma the town has been buzzing in the evenings, on this occasion, a Tuesday night in mid-June the entire place was shut making it very difficult to find somewhere for dinner. If you intend to visit do your research first to find what will be open.

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated for travelling back and forward to the south of Spain and Algarve as it's just off the motorway. Ample parking with electric charging points, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food is good in both cafeteria and restaurant. The only negative is the room was uncomfortably hot for sleeping in, we turned off the radiator early and put on the air conditioning but that made little difference. It's a shame because it ruined our stay.

    The monastery is worth visiting.

The monastery is worth visiting. It has a beautiful cloister, as shown in the picture. It is a short visit, with some important artwork. The town is quaint, with lots of places to eat. It is definitely worth visiting the other two sister towns: Covarrubias and Lerma - Covarrubias is much more breathtaking. Sto Domingo de Silos is also near the recreation of "Good, Bad and Ugly" Sad Hill Cemetery. If you're a Clint Eastwood or Spaghetti Western fan, it's a must visit. Ideal weekend getaway just 2h away from Madrid and very close to the city of Burgos.

My main reason for visiting Burgos was to see the monasteries: La Cartuja de Miraflores Monasterio Las Huelgas Reales Monasterio de San Pedro de Cardeña These are superb examples of Romanesque Architecture and are still inhabited by monks/nuns, They are not in the centre of the city and one needs to take a taxi - not far and not expensive . They are so peaceful and relaxing.

An interesting town with a lot of history.

An interesting town with a lot of history. It was clearly an important centre in the past. The old town with its botanical gardens, castle walls and architecture is well worth a visit. Whilst across the old bridge Puente Carlos III there are loads of interesting bars, eateries and places to see. Unfortunately, we were on a tight schedule and didn't have enough time to fully explore the town. However, we've saved this as a place to visit the next time that we are in the region and hope to spend a full day or two here
