We were probably very lucky that our pre-booked mobile house in different camping of this area got cancelled (maybe due to the storm it had passed 2 nights before we arrived, maybe due to the off-season laziness). We had arranged a ground floor apartement in this camping quickly instead. It shown up as a great descision. Everything went smooth, the place was clean, just our size for 2 with 2 kids. The restaurant was closed that night and next morning, but we arrived with some food which we just prepared in the kitchen easily. We didn’t expected more, even there were some shops opened around anyway. It might be little tricky with hot water for those who are not fully friendly with gas bottles, i didn’t find it as a problem but I’m sure the personnel would had been helpful.

Perfect location for us with good view to Cadiz over the sea and the sandy shore. Close to ocean (in fact the first building from sea). Very clean, convenient with a great variety of services you cannot even imagine. As in pre season it was very good to make excursions in the area towards Gibraltar and over the hills meanwhile at the end of day you could rest on the shore or by the pool. Very nice pool area. Breakfast and dinner exceeded all our expectations. Delicious and a very wide range of varieties. Parking easy and perfect.

We have stayed a number of times before with our dogs who are made very welcome. Close proximity to the beach, chiringito with decent food and also a pizzeria on the main road which again makes dogs welcome and is open all year. Quiet with no load music late at night. You can switch off completely.

BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC CITY, BUT ALSO MODERN ON THE ONE SIDE WITHOUT ENCROACHING ON THE TRADITIONAL PARTS. Beautiful olde world with cobbled streets and lovely square with restaurants to sit and watch the world go by! A visit to the market is a must, with tables & chairs around the outside to try traditional tapas etc. Hop on bus was great, giving you an insight into where to wander. Definately try the Tuna, it was heavenly and the best in Spain!

In the central district, by the market and Alcazar, Jerez is a vibrant, safe, friendly city with lots to do. We had an evening stroll from plaza to plaza - it's full of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and tapas spots and families having fun. Our favourite tapas bar was Tabanco las Banderillas - which you have to queue to get into as it's full of locals and the food is excellent and great value. (But like most places you need to choose carefully - e.g. we don't like sweetbreads or tripe! We love fresh fish, seafood and they do a great chicken dish with lemon and oregano.) The sherry houses are great to visit and the tastings are fun. There are also the usual castles, churches etc if you like that sort of thing.

Tarifa is a unique, quirky relaxing experience. Lots of shops for mooching about in. An endless supply of restaurants and bars and bistros. You just have to get yourself out there and start exploring, you will soon create your own favourites! Prices range from high cost fine dining to excellent Mediterranean to delicious burgers n chips. We pretty much walked everywhere, you don't need your car until you are ready to leave!

It is a great place for a relaxing vacation! A nice beach (8km coast) where you can swim, relax or have a nice walk! There is also a street workout area next to the beach if you feel like working on your pullups and muscle ups! I also visited a park where I could watch flamingoes and other birds. I will go back to Chiclana one day! It was wonderful!

Algeciras has some beautiful parts, in the old city the Moorish architecture is really quite something. There are some rougher parts sure, as with any large port town. But I found it safe, the people friendly and the food was great, especially El Taller restaurant. Nearby beach Playa el Rinconcillo was fine. But Algeciras isn't like some beautiful Mediterranean coasted resort destination, it's a fairly gritty Spanish port with some beautiful architecture and passable beaches, cheap and cheerful with easy access to TARIFA where you can get a ferry to Tangiers and visit nearby roman ruins or visit very nearby Gibraltar.

The area along the Odiel River is nice to walk and has restaurants and places to sit and enjoy the view. The city would be great by bicycle. The Mercado is the place to go for fish, meat and fresh produce. Restaurants were a bit of a hit and miss during our trip, so we recommend doing some research (and don't trust the online pictures posted by the establishments). You definitely need some form of transport if you want to see a fair amount.

The old town is beautifull with plenty of local people and spaniards from diffrent reagions of Spain. Not too many tourist is good news. There are delicious and trendy restaurants and tapas bars. Medina Sidonia palace is marvelous and the Church of Notre Dane of Ó, a pearl of architecture from spain, has a sweet lady guide (and very well informed).

Stunning town with a ridiculous amount of excellent bars and restaurants serving top quality food at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK. Very Spanish (obviously) and everyone super friendly and accommodating. Lots to see and do around and not far from Cádiz. You do need a car which you can park for free at the bottom of the town and then walk up - it is incredible hilly and steep so proper shoes recommended! Beautiful main plaza with fountain and tapas places and restaurants. Highly recommend.
