- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 17 reviewsWe were a family of 18 in three rooms with young children. The situation of the rooms that we were given on one floor and close together was ideal. It meant any noise didn’t annoy other guests. The size of the 6/8 bed room meant we could all eat together in the evening. The swimming pool/spa area made the holiday extra special. Bread etc can be delivered to your door. Also the staff seemed super relaxed and happy to help.Guest review byGeorginaUnited Kingdom

Great skiing for whole family at all levels.
Great skiing for whole family at all levels. We were on a budget so cooked meals at our apartment and took a packed lunch. This worked well as weather was good for lunches. One day we lunched in the Salle HORS sac which was good and warm. Bar at Roquette closes too early for a last drink before descent at end of day!Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 10

Skiing is excellent as there are La Plagne and Les Arcs domains Lots of walking/hiking for my dog and I, in the forest, in villages Lots of history and great restaurants (Au coeur de Vall') and l'EdelweissGuest review bySophieBUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Great location, pool & spa very nice after long day skiing.
Great location, pool & spa very nice after long day skiing. Apartment comfortable but with 6 people too cramped. Only one toilet, en suit was just shower & basin. Twin bedroom small with no natural light.Guest review byEvansUnited Kingdom - 10
Definitely consider this small, traditional French village!
Definitely consider this small, traditional French village! It had everything we needed - wonderful restaurants and bars (with excellent staff), shops, a swimming pool and the most wonderful surroundings! The ski lift was excellent, ski hire convenient and we had all we needed for skiing. A car is probably a must - it really helps to have a car to reach the lift or drop people off for the lift, but there is a shuttle bus (although we didn't use it) which runs throughout the day. We had a fantastic time in Champagny-en-Vanoise.Guest review byKatherineUnited Kingdom - 10
Beautiful apartments. Large and well equipped.
Beautiful apartments. Large and well equipped. Great position for slopes and public transport. Plagne 1800 is generally very quiet but has bars and a few restaurants. Pretty village style resort and easy access to Plagne centre using free bus. La Plagne is a very friendly family oriented resortGuest review byClare branighanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Nice village to be with plenty of amenities.
Nice village to be with plenty of amenities. Would happily stay there again. Do some research on distance to the slopes, because a long walk can ruin a nice holiday. If you go for dinner, try A Tavola (Italian) and arrive before 19:00 to avoid the crowds.Guest review byKevinNetherlands - 8.0

A small traditional French village with a handful of restaurants and bars. It’s not suitable for people who love apres ski as there is none but if you want to ski hard during the day and rest in the evenings then you will love this location.Guest review bySuzieUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Plagne 1800 is a bit tired now so don’t expect modern hotels...
Plagne 1800 is a bit tired now so don’t expect modern hotels, hotel was good to crash but wouldn’t want to spend any time in the room as very small(had to put table on balcony so I could walk round the bed.took my own towel and pillow, and no lift is a pain, never bothered with the pool and the reception is only open 10-12 then 4-6 so if you turn up at lunch you will spent a couple of hours in the Bobsleigh bar! Le Mine is very good for apres /sport and live bands and La Cantina restaurant (same owners) is very good. I booked it last minute to be close to my friends 2 chalets down (catered) so spent most of my time there. Was conscious of loosing deposit so literally didn’t use anything in the room and video it when I arrived and left! Cost me £1050 for 4 nights so very expensive but it was half term and last minute. Love France but will return to Austria next yearGuest review byJasonUnited Kingdom - 10
A quiet location in a busy resort.
A quiet location in a busy resort. Good access to other parts of the ski area. 2000m high location provided excellent snow conditions at Easter in a season that was both unusually warm and low on snowfall.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10
We've stayed in various European ski resorts over the past...
We've stayed in various European ski resorts over the past 20 years and can honestly say that Champagny en Vanoise is one of the nicest. It's quiet (I think we had an exceptionally quiet week - covid and a lack of Brits probably being a factor). That said, it is the quintessential French Alpine village that is expanding. Within the next few years I can imagine it losing some of its historical charm. Bear in mind it's on the side of a mountain. There are some lovely local walks and the next commune of Champagny Le Haut provides dog sledding, cross country skiing and walking. Aprés is available but is geared more to sedate family/couples socialising rather than kids partying. Service to La Plagne and the Paradiski area is very quick on the gondola. The two reds back to the village each evening can be tricky but those not brave enough to try can return on the gondola.Guest review byAntonyFrance
