The location was excellent, right in the middle of town and near to all the local buses. Although rooms are small they are lovely, very clean and have nice touches. We had dinner in the pub, breakfast in the restaurant and lingered in the coffee shop, all delightful.Guest review byLoriUnited States

The area was pretty nice, nothing fancy where we were but easy to walk around and safe reliable public transport. We were able to get loads of different foods bits from cafes to restaurants to takeaways and deals, all of which was reasonably priced. The Derbion was great with a variety in the food hall; a great cinema with a wide range of films and comfortable seats; and loads of shops to fulfill any shopping needs.Guest review byWilliamson - 8.0

Buxton has beautiful buildings and lovely atmosphere. Only complaint is one of the places on the internet to see list was The Dome. Having climbed up the hill to visit we found it was closed during term time. Not happy with that.Guest review byJeanUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Chesterfield is close to lots of other beautiful towns and villages and of course the fantastic scenery. Chesterfield is a large place and for us, we prefer the smaller towns like Bakewell and Matlock, but there is everything you need in Chesterfield and a great place to visit the surrounding areas of the Peak DistrictGuest review byPatriziaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It was fun.
It was fun. We took the cable car, which is pretty expensive, but the cavern tour was great. Matlock Baths is like Blackpool - all slot machines and fish and chips, but the other part was much nicer. Worth a visit.Guest review byJacintaUnited Kingdom - 10

We soon realised that Castleton was probably the best place to stay in the area. An excellent centre for walking and a bonus was the Tourust information Centre with its cafes. 7 pubs so finding one for a meal was not a problem. We went to one cafe down a side street and ate at t the George further along the same street. Both good. Also the sandwiches etc at the deli in the main street can be highly recommended We aim to return to Castleton. An ideal centre for exploring the Peak Natonal Park.Guest review bySmithUnited Kingdom - 10
