The room was immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming – they truly made us feel at home. We especially appreciated the care and professionalism of the entire team. This has been one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had, and we will definitely be returning on our next visit.Guest review bymaktoomOman
- From US$147.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.9Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 6,118 reviewsIt was nice to stay here. The breakfast was a bit boring and same during our staying. The room was tidy and was great to get clean towels every day. Near the hotel we could buy a power plug converter in a newsagent, because in the hotel was not functional the requested converter. Summary, our staying here was great.Guest review byMártaHungary

Lexicographer Dr.
Lexicographer Dr. Samuel Johnson wrote in the 18th century "A man who is tired of London is tired of life". I lived there for 10 years 60 years ago. (Of course, liike any old person for me the 'good old days' were always the best). London has changed almost beyond recognition, both in general landscape and population. But it is still immensely appealing for all the usual reasons. There are several new (to me) tube lines, so that access to any corner of Greater London (and even beyond!) is quick and easy. BUT: London is incredibly expensive. There used to be a book "London on $5 a Day". Today It'd be closer to $500 a day!Guest review byChristopherCanada - 8.0
Food is great and cheap. Hotels are reasonably priced.
Food is great and cheap. Hotels are reasonably priced. Plenty of options to pick up your stay. The Piccadilly line goes straight to central, and even if you drive, it is 30-40 minutes to reach central London. Heathrow is a 15-20 minute drive away.Guest review bySumanth RajUnited Kingdom - 10

Went for the Harry Potter studio tour. Did not disappoint at all! If you go it is definitely a full day, we weren’t expecting for it to be so good or for us to be there that long. We were there for over 5 hours and did not once get bored!Guest review byChelseaUnited Kingdom - 10

Richmond is a wonderful town, with plenty of entertainment such as theatres and cinema, especially Richmond Theatre on Richmond Green. There are plenty of wonderful walking routes and parks, Richmond Royal Park is beautiful. Loads of fantastic Pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. Excellent transport links across London and wider areas. Richmond can be expensive, but is worth the extra costs for a short break.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10

I was born in Kingston and lived there for a large piece of my life. I like coming to Kingston as I can catch up with friends and family. Love the restaurants along the Thames tow path and the vast array of shops. London being a stones throw away by train.Guest review bySamiUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House.
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House. The location is relatively convenient for Stansted Airport – about an hour by car transfer – and the staff were friendly enough. As my room did not have a microwave, they kindly allowed me to use the kitchen one. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels provided daily, which I appreciated. However, one major issue left me quite frustrated. On the morning of my departure, I had an early flight at 7 am and needed to wake up at 3 am. To my surprise, the electricity (or main lighting) in my room and bathroom was completely off. I had to shower using my phone’s flashlight. Thankfully, I had finished packing the night before, as doing so in pitch darkness would have been impossible. I checked, and it wasn’t just my room – the small room between my entrance and the main hallway also had no power. Only the main hallway lights were on, which was a relief, as otherwise carrying two heavy suitcases downstairs would have been extremely unsafe. This situation made me think: what if a guest were ill and needed the bathroom at night, a breastfeeding mother needing light, or someone returning late in the evening? I had noticed the generator (or main power) going on and off during the two previous nights as well, with a short power surge to the mini fridge, which was quite noisy. This is an important matter that should be communicated to guests and fixed promptly. While the cleanliness and some of the staff’s helpfulness were positives, this power outage experience left me feeling stressed and disappointed.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last...
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last 10 years and especially in the last 5 years. It has become one of the very beautiful and upmarket locations along the River Thames and opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew - a world heritage site - and in the immediate proximity to famous Richmond and its historic palaces and cultural sites, picturesque town centre and equally famous RIchmond Park. Bearing in mind that this is less then half an hour away from the very centre of London, it is a really great location for a holiday, even a city-escape and offers more famous landscapes, River and green walks than probably any other borough in London. Yet it is much more tranquil than any place closer to London with a host of nice new restaurants and cafes.Guest review byKarinUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The local subway was well used and we ate there.
The local subway was well used and we ate there. There was reasonable choice and hot drinks, which I didn't expect. Depending on what you like to eat, there are plenty of small eateries. Where we were, there was a station and many buses so connections are there to get around. Pleasant enough suburb.Guest review byMarionUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lots of walking . Lots of hills. Good bus and train service. Very helpful people when asking for directions. Unhappy that only street map available is one copy kept in the museum. Lots of good cafes .Guest review byO'Grady - 10

Perfect in every way! I loved Central London, Notting Hill and Cotswold which was just beautiful! The only downside of London, cold and wet but worth going regardless. It is just a great place to spend a few days! Lots of fun!Guest review byMariaUnited States
