- From US$160.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 364 reviewsWhere to start? The greeting on reception was fabulous - such a warm welcome and very kindly, an upgrade of both our rooms for which we were very grateful indeed. The hotel is fabulous for those who are less mobile, with slopes and swing doors in the general areas. My mother uses a wheelchair and was amazed at the quality of the disabled bathroom in the room - the best we had seen, so we can definitely recommend the hotel to wheelchair users or those who avoid steps. The rooms are huge and very clean, the beds comfortable - firm with some give. We had an excellent dinner with superb service. Fabulous wines; not just their own, but a global selection. A real treat! Breakfast consists of a lovely buffet but also a comprehensive menu. Again, excellent service. I cannot recommend the Llanerch Vineyard Hotel highly enough. It is a beautiful place with a great team, and fantastic value for money.Guest review byPhillieGermany
- From US$200.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,194 reviewsRhian and Moody were exceptional hosts, we were made to feel very welcome. We needed an early checkout (a little before breakfast hours) but this was no problem, Moody made us amazing scrambled eggs. They treated us as if we were at home. The room was huge, modern, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom and shower in particular were excellent. When we ate dinner in the resturant, it was very tasty with good portion size.Guest review bytezupFrance

Cardiff is a very vibrant city though I was there for work. The hotel is very near the station, very clean & easily accessible on foot. Very easy to get around cardiff. Brilliant weekend.
Brilliant weekend. If you like your food go to the Truffles restaurant it was amazing. Also go to The Observatory on the beach for coffee and breakfast, it is really quirky and fantastic food. Go to the Sky Bar on the 28th floor as the views are astounding .Guest review byLyndaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lots to do and see for such a small place.
Lots to do and see for such a small place. Great for walking (as long as you don't mind hills) and the castle is spectacular and well worth a visit. Some excellent real ale pubs and plenty of good cafes too.Guest review byKayUnited Kingdom - 10

Nice little seaside town, full of charm and a must for Gavin and Stacey fans. Very quiet out of season. There seems to be a lot of building work going on to improve facilities. Not too over commercialised, nice sandy beach with good selection of snack bars and cafes. Finegans Spanish style restaurant is brilliant with great staff. The railway station is situated on the seafront with good connections to Cardiff and local areas.Guest review byGarryUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Merthyr itself is a bit of a depressing town.
Merthyr itself is a bit of a depressing town. Lots of empty shops. A nice restaurant near the train station, Casa Bianca. A good shopping centre just outside the main town with a big M&S, a big Boots, Next, TK Max, etc. Merthyr has good roads and it's easy to get to Brecon, Swansea and Cardiff from there.Guest review byDeborahUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The room was a good size. Location was great.
The room was a good size. Location was great. Parking was helpful. Unfortunately the front house stafs were miserable to deal with. We were woken up very early and asked to leave despite paying for late check-out. He didnt belive and asked us to provide the proof of payment. Imagine if we couldn't find the receipt. Surely there are systems they have in place to check this. It ruined our morning as we planned on having a lie-in. The while point of our late check-out was defeated.Guest review byAmara DavidUnited Kingdom - 10

The purpose of our visit was to see a show at the Borough Theatre. Hence we only stayed one night. We live in Bristol so Abergavenny is not far. However we decided to stay over and have a meal rather than driving back after the show. The Theatre was good and we would visit again. We had dinner at the Anatolian restaurant which was excellent. I know Turkish food and it was good. We would consider visiting again and staying over to do some walking or seeing the sites.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 8.0
its a beautiful seaside place, excellent sand beach.
its a beautiful seaside place, excellent sand beach. Sad to see the fun fair will no longer be there next year, with out this , it will lose its family Attraction. Get the feeling the area is looking to appeal to another class of person, rather than the traditional family visitors.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10
Wasn’t our first time in Cardiff so only there 1 night.
Wasn’t our first time in Cardiff so only there 1 night. But boy, did it feel like a full-blown holiday, with a castle, lovely walking streets, much better restaurants than I expected, cool museums, friendly locals. World’s first arcades. And loads of old buildings. Oh, also waterfront, rugby stadium and Dr Who spots all around … great family trip or for romantic couples. Try Pasture restaurant for dinner, and Corner Coffee for breakfastGuest review byIan GarethCanada
