- From US$156.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 8,859 reviewsFrom the moment we stepped through the doors of The Grand Brighton, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and exceptional service. The icing on the cake? A surprise upgrade to a magnificent room with spectacular views – a gesture that instantly set the tone for what would be an unforgettable experience. The hotel effortlessly combines timeless grandeur with impeccable attention to detail. Every corner exudes charm, and every interaction with the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The restaurant, however, was the true highlight. Each dish was a masterpiece, perfectly executed and beautifully presented. The flavors, the creativity, and the seamless service elevated the dining experience to something truly remarkable. Every aspect of our stay was meticulously designed to exceed expectations, and it did so effortlessly. The Grand Brighton is not just a hotel; it’s an experience in perfection. We left feeling pampered, delighted, and already planning our return.Guest review byAliFrance
- From US$243.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,117 reviewsWe absolutely loved The Cooden Beach. The weather outside was frightful, but the fire inside delightful. It was warm, cozy and very welcoming. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We mostly ate inside the hotel having visited family in the area during the day. The food was delicious. Everything we had was exceptional. The staff couldn't do enough. It was lovely talking to Ben S. Andre was fabulous at dinner. Robert at breakfast. And the Reception and Housekeeping team super. Thank you to all of them for making our stay perfect.Guest review byKarenSpain
- From US$180.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,263 reviewsWhile the interior appears a little dated and tired when you first enter, the furnishing is actually very tasteful and makes you feel at home fairly quickly. It is somewhat the nature of places in Eastbourne, given they do tend to cater to an older demographic from what I can see. Room had a good view of the sea. Cooked breakfast in morning was high quality. Staff were all lovely, from reception desk to bar staff to waiters at breakfast. Definitely a good place to stay in Eastbourne, not too far from the main coastal strip.Guest review byCHARLESUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$120.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,526 reviewsThe hotel is really nice, it had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept it. It was a bit far from central Brighton but there were busses very 7 minutes so that was fine. As it’s not in the centre it meant it was really quiet. The parking was free and really close to the hotel.Guest review bySusanneNew Zealand

Take the Hop on Hop Off bus initially to see everything then stop wherever you like. It was a great way to see things we might have missed and we learned a fair bit of history as well. Brighton is a delightful, quirky city that embraces everyone’s uniqueness and creativity. We particularly enjoyed the ‘devil-may-care’ attitude to fashion. WonderfulGuest review byLillianCanada - 10

Hastings is full of fascinating places to see and things to do. We'd recommend all of the ones we got to, and there were plenty we didn't get to. The Castle, funicular, shipwreck museum, Hastings Contemporary and a wander around the Old town's 'twittens' are all a must. The Smugglers Caves adventure is fun - family focused but we did learn a lot! It was really interesting to see a boat coming in and winched up onto the beach too.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10

Lewes is very good as a place to stay if you are interested in history or just like browsing local shops. It also has excellent railway connections so you can get to Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne and up into Sussex by public transport. It is hilly and a good base if you want to explore the South Downs by walking. A good range of restaurants, pubs and cafes too.Guest review bypilly03United Kingdom - 10

We went to the English Heritage 1066 re enactment weekend and also visited Hastings where we had lived in the past. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs, some small independent retailers, and antiques. in Battle. The Abbey and museum are also worth a visit. . There is easy parking even on a busy weekend. It has easy access from the A21 linking up to M25.Guest review byGillianUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Rottingdean is picturesque. Little streets with old pubs, houses and a church. The windmill is gorgeous. Beaches have great walkways for kids, plus they are wheelchair accessible. Also loads of areas for walking up the hills with great views.Guest review byDasaUnited Kingdom - 10

The spa was very well apportioned and it was very quiet and secluded. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely pleasant. One thing they must do in the restaurant is ensure that the wine ordered has arrived and ready to drink before the food is served. It is not good form to serve the food without the wine bottle even being at the table, let alone not opened.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom
