The staff were beyond exceptionall. Yasmine at front desk, Pete and Paul at concierge, Brian in the dining room. Absolutely brilliant. I have stayed at more than 100 hotels in the past 10 years from Argentina to Japan and this property is doing everything right.     The hotel is situated within extensive grounds incorporating a golf course and lakes. Beautiful walks are available. The hotel itself is lovely with some very interesting antique features. All the staff are very well trained and your comfort and happiness appears to be their main ethos. The 5 course dinner in Catalina restaurant was really delicious and a most enjoyable evening. I know some have complained about the length of time it took but to be honest, if i am paying that amount of money for a dinner, i certainly dont want to be rushed. It was fine dining at its best. The waiting staff were extremely efficient, giving detailed descriptions of each dish they served. Breakfast was delicious. The dining room was very well managed and i regret not getting the ladies name who dealt with all the reservations and table allocations. She was extremely efficient and very friendly too. You can eat from the extensive buffet breakfast or you can order breakfast from the menu, which is then cooked to order. The waiting staff were extremely efficient and a recognition for exemplary service goes to Katie who looked after us on both mornings.

    The hotel is so conveniently located in Derry, easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go on our trip. Room was spacious, clean and bright. The staff at the hotel were so lovely and friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay special and sent a bottle of champagne to celebrate my 60 th birthday. All of the reception staff were amazing but I have to give a special mention to Katie who was so exceptional . Would come back here without hesitation and throughly recommend a stay here.

    The hotel is right in the centre of everything! It is opposite the oldest pub in Ireland, close to many restaurants and shops, right next to the station and transport services. There is a parking garage right around the corner. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect! We will definitely stay here again when visiting Belfast!

    An interesting city to visit.

    An interesting city to visit. Two aspects are the historical development of the economy to result in the productive might which built the Titanic and the complexity of the issues which resulted in the "troubles" and have fortunately continued to the current peaceful status of the community. Long may both aspects continue. We ate at the dirty Onion restaurant, The Himalayan restaurant in Belfast south and Tim Hortons for coffee. Getting around Belfast is easy with the U series bus routes, (with helpful drivers) the "Glider" and the train from Lanyon Place to Botanic.

    Enjoyed the history of Derry and the Walls tour. Lots of lovely walks. The river is pretty and the city centre full of character. Didn't enjoy the 'fireworks/bangers' that local youths were setting off randomly. I found that quite intimidating so close to the city walls. Made me fearful of walking the streets to the Bogside area to check out the wall murals and historical area. Be mindful of buying food at Don's chippy on Bishop Street. We ordered fish and chips for 4. They gave us 2 pieces of fish each! We didn't know. Everyone in the place smirked and were keen to tell us that we wouldn't be able to eat it all. Pity the owner wasn't so forthcoming! We had to throw over half of it away. Just be upfront with customers, especially if they are out of towners. Such a waste of our money and their food. Disappointing.

    The area has many beautiful sites and walks which would have been enjoyable in better weather. The Geological Park is worth exploring. The Catholic Church in Irvinetown has an incredible display of carved wooden statues. The detail is amazing.

    Newcastle is a typical seaside town, with plenty of facilities, but unfortunately a few years ago it lost it's beautiful sandy beach. Plenty of places to eat, not just fish and chip shops, and a few pubs. Beware of Quinn's on a Saturday night if you don't like loud music. Easy to walk about, though not easy to drive through.

    Such a special area. There is so much to see and do. Cutest little shops. Nature and Natural beauty is everywhere. You are practically tripping over the next inspiring view point. I was so happy the whole time we were there. Pubs, Beaches, Nature, People watching, We were there in the Autumn. It was easy to get parking. I can see that this area would be very popular. Loads of golf around. I am not into that but all the green adds to the beauty of the area.

    There are some well-known spots worth visiting, like the Giant’s Causeway — though maybe a bit overrated. Let’s say it’s a must for first-time visitors. A really positive and unexpected surprise was visiting Belfast and the Titanic Experience — we really enjoyed it!

    The little town Camlough we stayed in was really lovely and you can walk around it's shops easily as they are close together. Great variety of places to eat and a large nisa extra convenient store. Being a coffee lover, I never seen as many signs advertising coffee available along our traveling route it was amazing but such a tease as you can't be having coffee pit stops every 5 minutes or my partner would just leave me out by one of the coffee trailers for the whole day by myself lol.

    We wanted a quiet break with good amenities which we found in plenty. We walked along the beach before breakfast each morning and even saw a small pod of Dolphins - superb. With regard to eating, avoid the Marine Hotel! The Diamond Restaurant and Fish and Chips by the Harbour were excellent

    nice area, great local bars. the people of Antrim were fantastic. Maddensbar, food exceptional for pub grub, atmosphere great and service faultless. we hired a car, but everything i needed, petrol, food superstore, takeaway, restaurants were all less than 5 mins in the car. so much to offer.
