GermanyWhere to start? The greeting on reception was fabulous - such a warm welcome and very kindly, an upgrade of both our rooms for which we were very grateful indeed. The hotel is fabulous for those who are less mobile, with slopes and swing doors in the general areas. My mother uses a wheelchair and was amazed at the quality of the disabled bathroom in the room - the best we had seen, so we can definitely recommend the hotel to wheelchair users or those who avoid steps. The rooms are huge and very clean, the beds comfortable - firm with some give.
We had an excellent dinner with superb service. Fabulous wines; not just their own, but a global selection. A real treat!
Breakfast consists of a lovely buffet but also a comprehensive menu. Again, excellent service.
I cannot recommend the Llanerch Vineyard Hotel highly enough. It is a beautiful place with a great team, and fantastic value for money.

The cottage is a hidden gem, absolutly FANTASTIC!!!. Fully fitted with all the mod cons you could ask for. We had everything we needed and the view was lush! The beds were so comfortable and warm. We can't wait to come back soon. Thank you Laura for an amazing stay!!!!!

Nice little seaside town, full of charm and a must for Gavin and Stacey fans. Very quiet out of season. There seems to be a lot of building work going on to improve facilities. Not too over commercialised, nice sandy beach with good selection of snack bars and cafes. Finegans Spanish style restaurant is brilliant with great staff. Cowbridge is a market town, the cattle market is now The Butts, free parking, but does get full. For coffee you must go to Fablas on the high street , you will be served coffee or tea in a way you have never been served before. Try the Elephant and Bun deli, with a take away box salad. Lunch at Harrys or The Penny Farthing, visit the Physic gardens for a relaxing stroll. Wander up and down the high street, also going down the little turnings, still have a butchers, which closed Mondays and a chemist the window will grab your eye. Then try Forage farm show, which is out of the high street, and for novelty value but glass milk bottles and get milk from the milk machine, near Forage. I was in llantwit Major visiting friends and family as I lived in llantwit for 50 years. It is a lovely town, has loads of history and is a very pretty area as is all the Vale of Glamorgan. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here. Many lovely beaches along the coast, from Barry Island to Porthcawl. Since we arrived too late at Cardiff airport we needed to take cab to your place at 16:40, too late to buy any basic food for the next morning. We then had to leave to rent a car. I suggest that the host might have provided some basic things like a 1/2 dozen eggs, some butter, orange juice, and milk for the coffee. The key left for us didn’t lock the door either. Lastly perhaps in the instructions you should advise guests exactly how to turn on the shower in the two bathrooms. Especially the shower in the lower bathroom. I called and left three messages asking that someone call us to advise on the shower controls but never got a call back. That’s annoying. If you love Gavin and Stacey like me then this is a must! The tour was brilliant. There were so many pubs and cafes for great quality breakfast and food. We went to Coastal Coffee on the Island, the food was lush and the coffee was amazing, so much I returned later that day. We had a beautiful evening dinner at Cosy Vibes at Finnegans Inn, the waiter was brilliant and spoke to everyone in there. Absolutely loved the island, the fair had lovely doughnuts, seaside had lovely sand on the beach, Marcos had great icecream, all the seaside shops you can ask for, even a Bierkeller there. Spent way too many 2ps in Nessa's Slots. The Dolphin bar (old name- I can't remember the new name) was friendly and did nice cocktails. So many people were so friendly that worked down there it was really refreshing for a seaside town. We went on some walks and saw lots of history and some new up and coming places. Goodsheds opposite the pump house is made up of shipping containers and a train that has local shops, food, bars and businesses included-was a great find. The coastal walks near to Cowbridge are stunning. We were lucky to have good weather. There is a fantastic pub at Monknash with great food and ale. Ogmore was rather busy but the other locations along that stretch of coastline are secluded. The lighthouse is worth a visit and the facilities at Llantwit Major are great. Llantwit Major is a small town with a good mixture of shops and other facilities. There are a number of restaurants and pubs. Food on Sunday evenings was take-away only in September.
