- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 389 reviewsHe who looks for faults will find them. We are not like that. Our pool room was so good that we had no need to leave it. The hotel has all kinds of facilities, including a beautiful infinity pool. However, we never used it. From the photos it becomes clear why it is so. The interior of the room is comfortable, beautiful and spacious. The bed was big and firm. Santorini is mostly visited for the view. This hotel has one of the best, if not the best view on the island. You are at the highest location and you simply feel sorry if you turn your head because you have the feeling that you are missing something. Our flight arrived quite early (7.00AM) and the staff made sure we got a room as soon as possible. Speaking of the staff, everyone is friendly, smiling, ready to help with anything and unobtrusive. For those who are interested in the maintenance of the pool, upon arrival I watched how the pool is vacuumed, cleaned and the water changed. Also, the pool has a protein skimmer and is heated. So there is no fear for those more sensitive. Also, the room is far from the eyes of the public and offers privacy that most rooms in good locations do not have. The staff has their own small storage room near the room, and sometimes they passed by us, but they did so quietly and unobtrusively, possibly 1-2 times a day. Considering the limited number of space on the island, that was understandable. It is a 20-25 minute walk to the center of Fira and is not recommended for those with weak knees. For those who want good gyros and don't want to walk to the center, nearby is Jimmys Souvlaki with great food. There is also a supermarket next to it. The nearest attraction is Skaros Rock with the remains of the Venetian fortress. There is a sign at the foot saying that it is forbidden to approach. It should be kept in mind that it is very dangerous, however, that did not prevent us, as well as many others, from climbing to the top. These were the most beautiful 4 days of our lives.Guest review byMarioCroatia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 218 reviewsThis hotel is in the top 3 of the hotels I have ever stayed at. It is better than Six Senses, Kempinski, The Ritz-Carlton, and HALEKULANI. Stella was kind enough to help me when I lost my passport. Vangelis was also kind enough to tell me about hotels, rooms, and Santorini, even though I knew nothing about them. There are so many great hotels in Santorini that it's hard to choose, but I highly recommend this hotel.Guest review byRYOICHIJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 234 reviewsMost amazing experience. Was upgraded to a spectacular suite overlooking the ocean with a private pool and jucuzzi. The morning sunrise was the most spectacular I have ever seen!! Bottle of wine was also in the room. I felt like I was on my honeymoon. Such a lovely gift from Spendour Resort that truly made such a memorable time on Santorini. Unexpected and a gesture I shall never forget. Such nice people.Guest review byCarolCanada

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest thanks to wonderful staff, in particular Silvia and Georges who took great care of us all the time! Lazy mornings with tasting-like menu paired with some bubbles, chilling by the infinity pool and enjoying spectacular view is exactly what we needed from Santorini!Guest review byJarosławUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 149 reviewsKivotos Santorini is simply breathtaking — a sanctuary of style and serenity perched above the caldera. The architecture is striking, the interiors are beautifully curated, and the service is flawless. Waking up to those volcanic views felt surreal, and every moment was infused with peace, privacy, and understated luxury. It’s more than a stay — it’s an experience we’ll never forget.Guest review byConstantinaCyprus
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 495 reviewsThe staff and the views were INCREDIBLE. The front desk, the people by the pool and the views were incredible. I would 100% repeat my stay if I come back to Santorini. Even when travelling back from a different island, I asked if I could spend some hours by the pool while I waited for my flight and enjoyed one last beautiful sunset. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHINGGuest review byPabloSpain

I stayed 3 nights and managed to do quite a lot, however, I think 1-2 extra days is required to see all there is to offer. I never managed to get to Red Beach which I think I could have managed if I’d stayed one extra night.Guest review byTeaganAustralia - 10
Oia is all about the view. Spectacular.
Oia is all about the view. Spectacular. It is packed with tourists for a well deserved reason. It is totally touristy, expensive, but we can overlook that and the crowds because of that view. Finikia, just adjacent is much quieter. Still, Oia is Oia, only one. Very much recommend Roka restaaurant.Guest review byStephenCanada - 10

We found it a great location, as it was quiet and had some of the best views of the island. We were still close enough to Fira to visit on foot, and there were good transport links to get elsewhere as well. Plenty of good and varied restaurants, some of which were real gemsGuest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10

Akrotiri is a peaceful and beautiful part of Santorini, away from the busy tourist areas. It has an authentic local atmosphere, great views, and easy access to the Red Beach and the famous archaeological site. Ideal for those who love history, nature and quiet holidays.Guest review byJOHAN SOTIRIOUGermany - 8.0
Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded.
Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded. One day 6 cruise ships in Port. We ate 2 nights at Romantica taverna. Traditional Greek restaurant, good food and happy staff. Easy to walk around in you don't mind stairs and uphill. Walk from Fira to Oia 10km, something to do and overview of area.Guest review bySusanAustralia - 10

the views - night and day were great, The people are really friendly and the food.... fantastic! the protion sizes are huge, they really like to feed you! good quality food too. Favourite restaurants Nouassa No Name Bechemal Easy to get around Santorini - use the local buses from the main bus station. There is a bus timetable for all of the services. the signage on the buses isn't always clear, but you just ask the bus driver or ticket conductors. You will need change for the buses - most journeys are 2 euros. they only take cash. You will do alot of walking - comfy shoes are a must and there are alot of steps too.....this may impact anyone with joint issues. Akrotiri - great place to visit - you can also take a boat ride around to red beach. Local homemade lemonade is the best - served in quite a few cafes Mythos beer is a good beer Thira and Oia get quite busy when the cruise ships dock.Guest review byLouise - 10
We loved staying in Oia, mid October had perfect weather!
We loved staying in Oia, mid October had perfect weather! The crowds were not too bad expect for when the cruise ships came in, we avoided the town from 10am to around 1:00pm, evenings during the sunsets it gets crowded but it worth it to watch the sun go down, the sky lights up and is so beautiful, you can't miss it. Schedule a catamaran or private boat cruise, we highly recommend getting on the water to see it from the sea. Great shops and restaurants, you have to have the gelato at Lolita's, it's the best I've ever had!Guest review byNoraUnited States - 10

On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes of caldera, so it has different levels. On the plus side as soon as you leave the hotel you are on the famous Fira/Oia walk - turn right for Fira. You are on the highest part of the caldera so initially it is downhill, also you are close to Skaros rock which is worth visiting for the views and has a church partially hidden on the seaward side at a slightly lower elevation. As long as you can look to the sea you will have great sunset views wherever you are,my hotel patio was great for this.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10
Lovely village but getting very busy.
Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Greece is not cheap these days so you have to pay the same as in UK for meals etc. Wine is very expensive but nice to see that they only sell Greek wine in supermarkets and restaurants.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me.
Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me. Even at the end of the season, the main town of Fira was overcrowded with cruise ship visitors every day, and had some very high prices in the shops and restaurants. Firostefani is only a mile from Fira centre with good communications but is less crowded and (slightly) less expensive. There are plenty of restaurants in Firostefani, the two I liked best were Onar and Aktaion. Also there was a good, reasonably priced take-away called Why Not. Firostefani (and many areas of Santorini) has small mini-markets but no good supermarket. Anyone self-catering would find food shopping expensive and with limited choices. My hotel (Villa Ilias) like many others in Firostefani had spectacular views over the caldera.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
