When I checked in, I asked for some information about the massage. The receptionist remembered my request and introduced the masseuse to me while I was at the café. In the evening, he still remembered my room number when we went to have dinner - exceptionally professional! The room was clean and comfortable, the spa was enjoyable and super clean! There are restaurants around the hotel, the town centre is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was amazing, we could choose from a big variety of dishes, and the coffee was amazing! We went there by car; the hotel has its own big car park, it's safe and only the hotel guests have access to it by using a card which opens the gate. There are different facilities for small children, the best is the bouncy inflatable castle. The garden is well maintained, the pool’s temperature was perfect. The rooms were clean, it had every basic equipment in the kitchen that we needed for a few days. There are some rules that the owner kindly asked us to follow and to respect the others who stayed at the property. The owner was nice, flexible with our groups arrival, and even gave us the keys in advance. If you looking for a place where you can relax for a great price, it’s perfect. It's a nice place where you can spend a great holiday. You have a lot of bike lanes to ride on. The lake is usually nice but sometimes it can be really muddy. I found service in Balatonfüred uneven. The low point was restaurant Il Lago at the lakefront: despite looking inviting, the service felt dismissive and the prices were high for what we received. Veszprem is a small city, with some very impressive architecture, and interesting history. Also a nice place to just explore . The area along the riverside which passes the bottom entrance to the zoo then reaches a really nice park is a favoured walk for us . The centre has a good selection of restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and budgets . One thing to be aware of is that lunch is the Hungarian main meal of the day , therefore we have a couple of times tried to get a meal a bit later on the evening , depending on the time of year or day of the week that has sometimes been hard to find . Getting around , we can walk anywhere it’s a compact city . We generally get a lift from family to and from Station, after that we walk , if your fairly fit and can walk for about an hour I think you won’t need public transport but it is available if required . Nice and serene place by the lake. A couple of restaurants by the lake, which was nice. People there don't speak english, but most know german. The main building in lake was closed for reconstruction and the lake was tooo cold for me. It should have been warmer at the end of September. It looks like the reconstruction will go forever because iI dod not see any workers. It is too cold to stay out of the main building. And they do not even give a discount.
