The best place we could find to stay at the whole island. Super kind owners, family run business, top notch service. Dario picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry as a complimentary service, arranged a scooter and provided so many useful tips. Very peaceful location with a beautiful garden, two pools which one of them is thermal one. The best local beach of the whole island just few minutes walking underneath the hotel. 10/10, definitely gonna come back one day. Thank you so much 🌞❤️

Salvatore was the most amazing host. Warm, friendly, attentive and so helpful. He made our stay stress free, fun and relaxed and was always on hand with recommendations and advice. Location of Angelino was stunning. If you want to relax and hear only the ocean this is the place for you. Food was good and service was at all times very welcoming. Even though rooms were basic but they were clean and cleaning was done daily. This hotel can really be recommended and we hope to come back here as well.

Amazing location with views of the bay and Capri in the distance. Relaxed quiet atmosphere. The true star is Christian who is an amazing host and made us feel at home. He was incredibly helpful and friendly, amazing at what he does. Stay here and you will be looked after very well. There are a small number of rooms so it never feels busy.

Picturesque Island of Volcanic Rock, Thermal Spas and Pristine Beaches

Located 30 km from Naples and formed by a complex volcano, the pristine and breathtaking Ischia Island is Mother Nature’s hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is surrounded by an unspoiled coastline, thermal spas, several hiking routes and spectacular scenery.

Built in 474 BC, Aragonese Castle which is perched on natural volcanic rock, is the most impressive historical monument on Ischia Island, and is a modern day reminder of the islands past. Another wonder of island is the Gardens of La Mortella. Filled with tropical and Mediterranean plants, these picture-perfect gardens offer some of the best views over the region and Forio Harbour.

Other attractions on Ischia Island are beaches such as Maronti Beach and Citara Beach. There is also the Angelo Rizzoli Museum, which is a museum of the famous Italian publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli, along with the mushroom rock (known to locals as the Fungo) located just off the port of Lacco Ameno. Several local restaurants and bars are scattered around the island serving traditional and local delights.

One of the most interesting and unique areas on Ischia Island is the bay of Citara, and the famous Poseidon thermal Gardens. It features several pools, spas, a traditional Roman Sauna, a private beach and various restaurants. Visitors also have great transportation links by bus around the island.

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel! My wife and I felt very relaxed and happy with our stay. Very welcoming reception staff. The half board was worth every penny with amazing & delicious dinner every night. The pools were beautiful and well maintained with sea water (jets, water bike) & the beach although small very enjoyable. The indoor SPA with 3 thermal pools and steam sauna was excellent. The room are very tastefully furnished, the bed was comfortable, the lighting very good. In the bathroom we found, in addition to the usual bath towels, beach towels, flip-flops and bathrobes. The hotel is full of aesthetics and romantic. The hotel is about a 15 min. drive to Forio, 10 mi. to Negombo Thermal Park and 20 min. to Giardini Poseidon Thermal Park.

EVERYTHING! Such an exceptional hospitality, professional and super friendly staff. We stayed during end of season so there were not a lot of people in the hotel. It felt very private. The pools were relaaaxing, tried them all:) The room and all territory were super clean. Amazing breakfast , such a good variety of hot meals which they prepare for you freshly. A lot of desserts, meats, fruits, drinks, Prosecco.. Highly recommend if you wish for an amazing time to relax!

Breakfasts are Italian style, with lot of sweet pastry. Nice and strong coffee or cappuccino on request. Very polite and professional waiters. Clean and well maintained pools are good standard here for a long time. Hotel location is convenient in the heart of Ischia Porto, near to grocery and bus stop, location safe due to police station nearby. Reception professional, kind and very helpful. The hotel is at a very central location, very alive but still quiet. It’s very clean and although the building is maybe a bit old, all facilities are perfectly functioning. It’s also very safe for female travelers. But the big plus of this hotel is the staff- always genuine smiling and helpful, they are really adding at the experience! I hope we return one day and definitely we will stay again at Conte!

Excellent and extremely helpful owners who gave great recommendations for dining out in Forio and the local area. Free shuttle service helped us get around the island as well as the local bus service which stops just outside the hotel. Clean rooms and a great view.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem. Not many tourists there this time of year (october). We loved Poseidon. The town Sant'Angelo was beautiful! The Marina/beach and restaurants nearby was very quaint and clean.

We spent 1 week in Ischia, good time to go around the island. We used only the local bus which have an impressive service, better than most big cities in Europe! Nice hiking. Nice beaches and warm enough in mid October to take a bath. Some have hot spring. Cute tiny streets, but unfortunately without space for sidewalks: the 2 and 3-wheelers are loud and stinky and deteriorate the whole experience. Ischia could be a paradise with only electrical vehicles! We see more and more fat e-bike, I wish for the island they will reduce and transform their car & scooter rental...

Positone Spa a great day. St Angelo town quaint and beautiful. Garden Mortella stunning on a sunny day. Castle in Ischua Porte good. Bus transportation excellent, buses every 10 minutes, you can pay onboard. Use app Rio to Rome, excellent for travel information all around the world. Tip for travelling alone, lunch instead of dinner. Eat outside instead of dinning inside, bring a book with you. Once you begin travelling alone, the world is your oyster!!!
