We only stayed one night, we would have loved to stay longer. The room was beautiful, bright, with a view of Mount Fuji. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the location was excellent, just 2 or 3 blocks from the station. Thank you as well for the keychain you gave us, such a lovely souvenir.

The perfect place to stay — truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome in all of Japan. Kawaguchiko was our last stop before heading home, and we were simply looking for a bit of peace and quiet — but as the saying goes, we were looking for copper and found pure gold! From the very beginning, we felt incredibly special and genuinely cared for. The kindness we experienced speaks volumes not only about the hotel, but also about the amazing staff. Takanori, the hotel manager, was by far the kindest person we met in Japan — always attentive, helpful, and sincerely thoughtful throughout our stay. The hotel features wonderful hot spring baths and a sauna available to guests, and we loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay by one more night. Takanori kindly helped us arrange everything and even offered us a great deal. They also have laundry service same as the rent of bicycles at a very affordable price, and the hotel is conveniently close to both the lake and the nearby village. Truly a gem — I can’t recommend it enough!

Great location within Kawaguchiko area. Sightseeing bus stops nearby, station not too far, lake within walking distance. Room is not expensive, basic but well working facilities, complimentary breakfast. Breakfast is not any good (we were eating their Western menu) but whatever - it's a nutrition to start the day. Coin laundromat, luggage lockers, vending machines. Big supermarket 7-9 min by foot away, smaller supermarket closer. Free shuttle bus to station. This is good base to explore nearby area.

Everything here was really nice; The bed was fluffy and comfy, it was big enough, it had a refrigerator, TV, heater, and really good WIFI, nice bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and hot shower and bidet toilet, and the Onsen, the hotsprings/public bath was just amazing - There was an indoor and outdoor version, the outdoor onsen was beautiful; There were 2 hot pots and you could stay more than an hour there with the cold air and you can even see the moon from the hot pots. The breakfast was also really good: There were sausages, varieties of Japanese chicken, meat, salads, dishes, sushi rice, siomai and siopaos, waffles, pineapples, cereals, spaghetti, beef curry, japanese rice, soup, tea, coffee, orange and apple juice and it had a beautiful view of Mt Fuji as you dine. The staff were also really nice and friendly and very pleasant; They really got good people in this hotel. The location is perfect if you have a car, if you don't; It's still not so bad if you don't mind walking: It's around 10-15 minutes walk to Fuji Q Highland and that's where you can find the Lawson, really nice Yakinikus (Like korean beef restaurants) and Big Echo (For Karaoke - around 1200 yen for 1:30 hours before 6PM). If you don't like walking; The hotel also offers a free shuttle to Fuji Q Highland station or Kawaguchiko station. Overall will highly recommend! Would love to stay here again someday in the future!

It was professionally operated in every aspect and they went out of the way to ensure a comfortable stay in the room equipment and toiletries. The front desk staff not only helped call for a taxi for us but went out to wait with us so he could tell the taxi driver in Japanese where we wanted to go.

I think this may be my favourite hotel. The hotel & grounds are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the in-room private onsen was so amazing. Plus all the little touches made the experience so memorable - (mostly) refillable complimentary mini bar which had bottled beer, juice, and snacks, the scented volcanic rock and volcanic rock filtered water, the in-room fire that the staff can set up for you, and the filter coffee equipment, pajamas, and loungewear that is available! There is also complimentary free flow tiny canned beer, juice, and milk coffee from the public onsen, outdoor public fireplace that the staff can set up for you in the evenings, and the wi-fi is great. As a group of 7, we were provided the restaurant private room for every meal, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Truly had a magical experience at Fufu.

We stayed just one night at the cottage. The cottage was somewhat easy to find by car and it was well-located. The view of the lake and mount Fuji was beautiful, especially in the morning. The check-in was quick and the host kind and spoke good English. The cabin was very big and warm and had all the ameneities needed. It was clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was very complete in terms of cutlery, plates, etc. We got one with an open bath which was such a treat! The weather was really cold in January (-7 degrees) and I went to the open bath at night but the water was very warm and I had a very relaxing time. I would stay here again.

Incredible view of Mt Fuji from nearly everywhere in the hotel! We had the French dinner which was incredible and the breakfast was pretty good as well. The private onsen is great if you want to relax with your other half but the regular baths are also very nice if you don’t want to pay extra or if it is fully booked. The staff are very friendly and the shuttle bus to and from the station made getting there very easy.

The house is beautiful, clean, with air conditioning in the bedroom and living room, good bathroom amenities, nice futons, and blankets. We used the bicycles for sightseeing. Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hr
