Super friendly and helpful staff. They go out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. We asked if the room could be made a bit darker, and they sorted it without any hassle. The pool is great. We used it every day. The co-working area is solid too. Fast WiFi, plenty of space, and a good setup to get work done. Location is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic boutique hotel located right on the beach. Beautiful rooms with all amenities. A fantastic and friendly staff led by Sanuka and Francesca. We received an upgraded room upon arrival and were allowed to keep it until 11 PM on the departure day. A nice restaurant in the hotel with a lovely breakfast and otherwise open until 11 PM for both lunch and dinner. Nice outdoor area with comfortable sunbeds and a great swimming pool.

Everything was truly excellent. The aesthetics of the resort are absolutely beautiful and calming, the rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is really spacious and clean. The bed slept super comfortable. Breakfast was truly delicious, coffee great too. Really everything was brilliant. Felt totally at ease staying at this resort. Wish we could stay longer!

Taavetti is a small boutique style hotel but is actually newly refurbished in execllent quality. The place is very clean amd tidy and the room was excellent. Its quiet and the staff are excellent neat and well mannered. We were received in an excellent way especially after a 2 hour drive from colombo. We were offered fresh juice and a cool towel while checking in. Checking was straight forward and easy. The hotel has its own access to a beach and restairant. We mainly had breakfast there. Its a set menu breakfast that gives u a choice of english french and asian breakfasts. The location of the hotel is not where all the 5* hotels are but beaches are beautiful in most places and Taavetti has a nice stretch of beach with seating and umbrellas

It was really amazing stay. It looks like on pictures. I felt very well take care for. The hotel has just 4 rooms, gives you private vibes, very calm place, nice environment around (jungle vibes). Very close to the beach and "center" (5 mins), but thankfully outside of noisy busy life. Breakfast was good and everyday different (srilankan, but you can opt for classic english). Room was beautiful and spacious, all facilities worked well. Complimentary water after cleaning. Great matress and bedsheets, for me very suitable pillows. Special thanks to Theekshana for booking for me private yoga class and other things, as well as management of late check-out for me.

Great hotel, last minute booking to move from other accommodation and we landed on our feet. Got a free upgrade to Master Suite for having booked through booking.com, fabulous setting. Bought a half board upgrade and was glad to have done so as the dinner was fantastic. The direct access to the beach was brilliant. Hats off to the guys that were looking after the rooms, Lasantha and Purnaka in particular for their attention. Most importantly though I would have to commend the trainee waiter Sangeeth, his attention to his tables his courtesy and friendliness was exceptional. He dealt with an issue that we had over payment calmly, efficiently and with professionalism. The makings of a great Maitre D, we wish him well into the future.

Loved the view from the balcony and the scenery from the beach. The rooms were really clean and tidy and we loved spending quality time in the pool. We loved the entertainment at night.( the live show was perfect for the night stay) . For dinner we ate from the restaurant and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was amazing and we loved the two sides of Srilankan and English breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in the Citrus Hotel and we will definitely come back. The Galle Fort in Galle is my absolute favorite place — it...

The Galle Fort in Galle is my absolute favorite place — it has a vibe of its own. It’s completely safe at any time of the day, even for solo travelers. There’s so much history within the Fort walls to learn about and beautiful architecture to explore. The hosts at the restaurants and hotels inside the Fort are amazing, and the service is truly of international standard. The view of the Indian Ocean from the Ramparts is simply breathtaking. There are plenty of restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines and dishes to try. Outside the Fort, I highly recommend visiting the beaches at Unawatuna, just a few kilometers from Galle City Centre. While you’re there, don’t miss the Japanese Peace Pagoda at Rumassala — you won’t regret it! Yaddehimulla Road in Unawatuna has everything from surf schools and restaurants to gem shops, gelato spots, international cuisines, and everything in between. we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as calm as it would normally be (or so the locals told us) but you could still go into the sea but maybe not for too long. We enjoyed ambling around the town and going into Gaul more. We used the pool at our hotel more than the beach here.

We did not venture into Bentota.

We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

I really loved how cozy and clean the hostel was — it felt like home! The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. The only small thing is that it can get a bit quiet at night, but overall it’s a perfect place to relax.

There are so many locations to see.good peoples are around & very safe are. I like the place & the area.i had great time durig the vacation.I guess that threre is 1km around to the beach & also there is a logoon.i have experience the boat safari at the lake. I wish if i could stay few more days to enjoy.

A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
