We arrived late but still we were able to order food. There was suppoused no single separated beds, but they sorted out for us when we arrived.

Everything was lovely and the views from the unit were amazing. Our bedroom was great with a comfortable king bed and great shower/bathroom. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. We were the only guest so had the common area to ourselves as well and enjoyed the excellent included continental breakfast. Highly recommend The Salty Bushman for your stay in The Catlins.

Spectacular restored Victorian decor—lots of room; comfortable bed; excellent communication with host; easy access to Catlins area. On the host's recommendation, we dined at the Lumberjack cafe (reservations required) - a truly spectacular meal. Overall, great value for the money.

Wow.. I liked everything about it. I was made to feel very welcome and was impressed with the attention to detail. From free drinks in the fridge and home made bread for breakfast to the luxury bath robes and towels. The room was beautiful and the bed so good I slept in! I am only sorry I couldn't stay a little longer.

Apartment had wonderful views, was spacious, and clean. Kitchen utensils were top-notch, knives were sharp which isn’t usually the case! Host was frequently in touch before my stay, and it was very helpful to point out that the only restaurant in town was closed on Sunday, so we could be prepared well before we arrived.

Very comfortable, quiet, spacious and well equipped unit in a lovely garden away from the main highway. Large, comfortable bed and modern shower. Hospitality and the view from room and garden, absolutely fantastic view, especially sun rise. Jenny welcomed us with big smile that made us feel like we are back to home. They are great couple, highly recommended. I would definitely stay there again.

Really well designed cottage set in a gorgeous garden with wonderful hosts. The treats were appreciated after a hard days ride. Our host went the extra mile with allowing us to park our bikes a bit earlier and finding some genealogy information for us. The cottage has high quality provisions which adds class to your stay.
