- From US$63.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 601 reviewsThe best stay on our trip by far. From checking in early because we arrived by overnight bus from Cuzco, through the friendly staff and clean amenities, to the beautiful wooden lodge rooms with views of the areal. We saw multiple sloths just hanging around in the area and a couple of monkeys passing by, all from our room window! We also recommend the Lake Sandoval trip, however we had bad luck with a fog on the parrot clay lick trip, so we didnt see much there. Also they let us stay in the areal after out check out, since we had again the overnight bus leaving at 7 pm and there was no problem staying there. And lastly they have a tasty restaurant called El Faro with tasty food and reasonable prices, as well as the amazing juices! The pool is worth it too on sunny tropical day. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was like a honeymoon phase on our backpacking journey through south america and the price is so affordable!Guest review byIvanSlovakia
- From US$550 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 49 reviewsWe enjoyed the beautiful lodge and delicious food. Beds were comfortable and we were grateful that the entire cabin was screened in (vs some lodges that only provide mosquito netting around the beds). This meant we could enjoy the room, take a shower, etc, without fear of becoming a meal for the bugs.Guest review byMICHAELUnited States

A great city with a relaxed atmosphere, the people here are very friendly and helpful. Loads of options for eating and drinking at very cheap prices. Street food is definitely worth a try as are the tiny street corner bars for empanadas and a glass of some kind of juice. Try Flama Central on Av Cusco for great grilled meats. Hamburgo for a burger. Any of the bars for big bottles of Cusqena beer, pilsner, trigo, dorada or negra, they’re all great. Head to the ferry port and talk to the family running the bar there about a river trip with Edu, one of the sons who is a guide. After dusk you might get to see Owl monkeys a little further along the river bank. Again, ask Edu It’s easy to walk the grid system but you can always flag down a moto if you’re feeling weary. Head to the Cacao centre to eat or drink and you might see a family of tamarins passing through or an agouti.Guest review byBenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Shintuyu Hot Springs has beautifully local engineered pool landscaped in natural environment, where I was able to watch monkeys eating in nearby trees, a humming bird extract nectar from bright red flowers next to the pool, beautiful butterflies of various colours flutter by. I visited waterfalls - one of which is the most impressive in my recent memory. Jhohan paid attention to my needs and is from the local area with lots of knowledge to share covering culture, plant and animal life, the water sources; river & hot springs.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 10

The staff is by far the greatest asset of Gree Diamond Lodge. They are exceptional. The beds could be improved. In my opinion the single best improvement they could make is finding a way to provide fans in the rooms, possibly powered by solar. The heat and humidity are quite overwhelming.Guest review byNancyUnited States
